Kents Bank railway station
Kents Bank railway station is a railway station that serves the village of Kents Bank in Cumbria. It is located on the Furness Line from Barrow-in-Furness to Lancaster. The station building was designed by the Lancaster architects Paley and Austin in 1865 for the Furness Railway. Generally, services that are operated by Northern Rail mainly stop at this station. However, a few longer-distances services operated by First TransPennine Express also use the station.
Cartmel Priory Gatehouse
Cartmel Priory Gatehouse is a National Trust property located at Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria, England. Along with the church, the gatehouse is all that remains of the Augustinian Cartmel Priory. The priory was founded in 1190 whereas the gatehouse was built about 1330. In 1536 the Priory was dissolved as part of the general reformation of Church. Most of the monastic property was demolished, but the gatehouse was by that time serving as courthouse for the manor of Cartmel, so survived.

Humphrey Head
Humphrey Head is a limestone outcrop situated between the villages of Allithwaite and Flookburgh. It is whale-back-shaped and accessible for walkers, giving views over Morecambe Bay to Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham and over the Leven estuary to Ulverston. There is an Ordnance Survey trig point at the top. It is the home of an Outdoor Centre for TQ Education and Training (closed 2011).
