Acorn Bank Garden & Watermill
Acorn Bank Garden & Watermill is a National Trust property situated just north of Temple Sowerby, near Penrith, Cumbria, England. The property is noted for its garden, which features herbs — over 250 medicinal and culinary herbs — and orchards with old varieties of English fruit as well as a partially restored watermill. The garden is surrounded, and protected, by ancient oaks and high walls.

The Abbey in the village of Skirwith in Cumbria, England, UK is a two storey Classical house of five by three bays, built by Thomas Addison, mason, in 1768-74 for John Orfeur Yates, who spent many years in India. The main front has more closely spaced windows in the centre; and the centre and angles are also defined by differences in the ashlar stonework. The front door is approached by a splayed, balustraded staircase carried on a bridge over the wide area that encircles the house.

Penrith Hoard
The Penrith Hoard is a dispersed hoard of 10th century silver penannular brooches found at Flusco Pike, Newbiggin Moor, Near Penrith in Cumbria, and now in the British Museum in London. The largest "thistle brooch" was discovered in 1785 and another in 1830, with the bulk of items being recovered in two groups close to each other by archaeologists in 1989.
