Hesleden
Hesleden is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated to the south of Peterlee. It has a large pond situated at the bottom next to the Hart to Haswell Walkway. Hesleden also has a park and Dene to walk through and explore. Hesleden was named Hesleden from the two words combined, Dene and Hesle which is from "hazel". Colin Bell, former England and Manchester City F.C. footballer, was born in Hesleden.
Castle Eden

It is situated a short distance to the south of Peterlee, Wingate, the A19 and Castle Eden Dene. The village is famous for the former Castle Eden Brewery which was home of the famous Castle Eden Ale; most of it was demolished in 2003 for a new housing estate and only the main front building remains today.
Hutton Henry
Hutton Henry is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated to the west of Hartlepool, near the villages of Wingate and Station Town. In ca. 1050 the village was known as Hoton. Henry de Essh held it in the 14th century, providing the second part of the name. During the 19th century it was a mining village, as were the nearby villages of Wingate and Station Town. Its population increased from 156 in 1801 to 3,151 in 1891 due to the opening of collieries.

St Bede's is a Catholic secondary comprehensive school in Peterlee, County Durham, England. In summer 2006 it achieved its best-ever GCSE exam results. It is an 11-18 school for boys and girls living in the East Durham area. The school holds specialist Humanities College status.
Old Shotton
Old Shotton is a village, in Easington district of County Durham, England, The village once lay on the route of the A19, before its redirection to the west of the village. Although Old Shotton retains its own identity, and its own village sign, it now forms part of the new town of Peterlee. Following the foundation of Peterlee in 1948, the town spread westward, towards the A19, and so by the 1970s this small village had already begun to be encroached on.
The Castle, Castle Eden
The Castle at Castle Eden is an 18th century mansion house and a Grade II* listed building. No trace remains of the medieval castle of Robert de Brus. The Burdon family of Castle Eden had their origins in Stockton on Tees where the first Rowland Burdon was mayor nine times in the 17th century.
