Porthleven F.C
Porthleven Football Club is a Cornish football club based in Porthleven in Cornwall. Founded in 1896, the club competed in the South Western League from 1967 to 1977 and again from 1989 until the dissoultion of the league in 2007. From the 2007–08 season they joined Division One West of the new South West Peninsula League.

Trevarno, Cornwall
Not be confused with Trevarno, California Trevarno is a country estate in south-west, Cornwall, United Kingdom, once the seat of the Bickford-Smith family. It is situated near the village of Crowntown, two miles (3 km) north-east of Helston. The estate is currently closed to the public, unfortunately. The 70 acres of grounds include gardens, woodland walks, a Museum of Gardening, a sub-tropical conservatory. Trevarno is Cornish and means "farm/settlement of Varno."
River Cober
The River Cober is a short river in west Cornwall, United Kingdom. It rises near Porkellis Moor in the former Kerrier District and runs to the west of the town of Helston before entering the largest natural lake in Cornwall – Loe Pool. The water is impounded by the natural barrier, Loe Bar, and the river system can be traced several kilometres out into Mount's Bay.

The Loe
The Loe, also known as Loe Pool, is the largest natural freshwater lake (50 ha and maximum depth of 6 m) in Cornwall, United Kingdom. Situated between Porthleven and Gunwalloe and downstream of Helston it is separated from the sea by the shingle bank of Loe Bar. Both the Loe (including the southern arm known as Carminowe Creek) and Loe Bar are situated within the Penrose Estate, administered by the National Trust, and are designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest by Natural England.

Helston Rural District was a local government division of Cornwall in England, UK, between 1894 and 1934. Established under the Local Government Act 1894, the rural district was abolished in 1934 to create Camborne–Redruth Urban District and Kerrier Rural District, as well as enlarging Helston Municipal Borough.
