Phillack
Phillack is a village (and formerly a parish) in west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is about one mile (1.6 km) northeast of Hayle and half-a-mile (0.8 km) inland from St Ives Bay on Cornwall's Atlantic ocean coast. The village is separated from the sea by a range of high sand dunes known as The Towans. Phillack has been in the civil parish of Hayle since 1935; before that it was a separate parish in its own right.
River Hayle
The River Hayle (Cornish: Heyl, meaning estuary) is a small river in west Cornwall, UK which issues into St Ives Bay at Hayle on Cornwall's Atlantic coast. The River Hayle is approx 12 miles (19 kilometres) long and it rises south-west of Crowan village. Its course is west for approx 5 miles (which brings the river to within 3 miles of the south coast at Marazion on Mount's Bay).

Towan (from Cornish: Tewyn, meaning "sand dune") is found in many placenames in Cornwall. However, The Towans usually refers to the three-mile (5 km) stretch of coastal dunes which extends north east from the estuary of the River Hayle to Gwithian beach with a midpoint near Upton . Although 'The Towans' refers to the whole stretch, individual areas of the dunes have their own identities.

The estuary of the River Hayle consists of a main channel, with several other nearby tidal areas, including Lelant Saltings, Copperhouse Creek (Cornish: Est Logh, meaning eastern inlet) and Carnsew Pool (also known as Carnsew Basin). It is included in the Hayle Estuary and Carrack Gladden Site of Special Scientific Interest.

St Uny's Church, Lelant
St Uny's Church, Lelant, is the Church of England parish church of Lelant, Cornwall, England, UK. It is dedicated to St Uny (or Euny) who is also the patron saint of Redruth. The church is medieval and entirely built of granite. Parts of the nave arcades are Norman, but all of the windows are Perpendicular in style. The earliest reference to the church is in 1170, when Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, referred to "The Church of Saint Euni".
Paradise Park, Cornwall
Paradise Park is a zoo situated in Hayle, Cornwall, England. It has over 650 birds and animals. It is currently the home of the World Parrot Trust. The site includes a circular 750-foot long 15 gauge railway, opened in 1976, which encircles the house at the centre of the park. The railway is open for trains to carry passengers in good weather, and is operated from April through October.
