Poldhu
Poldhu is a small area in south Cornwall, England, UK, situated on the Lizard Peninsula; it comprises Poldhu Point and Poldhu Cove. It lies on the coast west of Goonhilly Downs, with Mullion 2 kilometres to the south and Porthleven 7 kilometres to the north. Poldhu means "black pool" in Cornish.
Gunwalloe
Gunwalloe is a coastal civil parish and a village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated on the Lizard Peninsula three miles (5 km) south of Helston and partly contains The Loe, the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall. Gunwalloe lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with the same status and protection as a National Park.
St Anthony (ship)
St Anthony or Santo António was a Portuguese carrack which foundered in Gunwalloe Bay, Cornwall, in 1527 en route from Lisbon to Antwerp. She had a mixed cargo including copper and silver ingots. The wreck was recorded historically, because the salvage of the cargo was the subject of an international dispute that led to a Court of Star Chamber, but the location of the wreck was unknown until 1981. The wreck is designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act.
River Cober
The River Cober is a short river in west Cornwall, United Kingdom. It rises near Porkellis Moor in the former Kerrier District and runs to the west of the town of Helston before entering the largest natural lake in Cornwall – Loe Pool. The water is impounded by the natural barrier, Loe Bar, and the river system can be traced several kilometres out into Mount's Bay.

Nansloe Manor, in Helston, Cornwall, is a hotel, originally built some time in the 16th century. It has fifteen bedrooms, a restaurant, Mediterranean gardens and a wide supply of British wildlife.
The Loe
The Loe, also known as Loe Pool, is the largest natural freshwater lake (50 ha and maximum depth of 6 m) in Cornwall, United Kingdom. Situated between Porthleven and Gunwalloe and downstream of Helston it is separated from the sea by the shingle bank of Loe Bar. Both the Loe (including the southern arm known as Carminowe Creek) and Loe Bar are situated within the Penrose Estate, administered by the National Trust, and are designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest by Natural England.
Mullion Island
Mullion Island (Cornish: Enys Pryven, meaning worm island) is an uninhabited island about half a mile (0.8 km) offshore from Mullion in Cornwall, in the south west of England, UK. The island is owned by the National Trust and is occupied by large colonies of seabirds. It forms part of the Lizard Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Mullion Cliff to Predannack Cliff Site of Special Scientific Interest. The island was previously owned by the Robartes family of Lanhydrock.
