River Dane
The River Dane flows through Cheshire in the northwest England. The river rises close to the source of the River Goyt just to the south west of Buxton, on Axe Edge Moor. Flowing southwest, it forms the border between Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire for around 10 miles before flowing west through Congleton and past Holmes Chapel. The point on the river where the three counties meet, at Panniers' Pool Bridge, is called the Three Shire Heads (often wrongly Three Shires Head).

Northwich is a town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It lies in the heart of the Cheshire Plain, at the confluence of the rivers Weaver and Dane. The town is about 18 miles east of Chester and 15 miles south of Warrington. The area around Northwich has been exploited for its salt pans since Roman times, when the settlement was known as Condate.

Northwich Infirmary, known as Victoria Infirmary, is a small hospital located in the town of Northwich, Cheshire, England. Along with Leighton Hospital in Crewe, it forms the Mid Cheshire Hospitals National Health Service Trust. The Infirmary originally opened in 1887 when a local MP, Robert Verdin, donated his house for use as a hospital. The building today has two inpatient wards and 31 beds.

Its age is uncertain; it was said to have been re-fronted in about 1820 for John Marshall, but the core of the building is earlier. It has since been altered and extended. During the 20th century the building came to be used an office. It one time it was used by North West Gas; as of 2011 it is the office of Holidaybreak. The house is constructed in yellow ashlar stone, and it has a hipped slated roof.
