Battle of Rowton Heath
The Battle of Rowton Heath occurred on 24 September 1645 during the English Civil War between the Parliamentarians, commanded by Sydnam Poyntz, and the Royalists under the personal command of King Charles I. The result was a significant defeat for the Royalists, with heavy losses and Charles prevented from relieving the Siege of Chester. Prior to the battle, Charles had been attempting to link up with the Marquess of Montrose in Scotland following the Royalist defeat in the Battle of Naseby.

Hoole Village is a civil parish situated near to Chester, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. In 2004 its population was 230. The parish contains the southern end of the M53 motorway where it becomes the A55 road. At this point it is crossed by the A56 road. Also in the village is Hoole Hall, which is now a hotel.

It is an active Anglican parish church. The church is in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Chester. Its benefice is combined with that of St Peter, Plemstall.
Christleton Old Hall
For the building with a similar name see Christleton Hall Christleton Old Hall is a former country house in the village of Christleton, Cheshire, England. It was built in the early 17th century as a timber-framed house by a member of he Egerton family. During the 19th century it was used as a rectory, and in about 1870 it was encased in brick at the time that Rev Lionel Garnett was rector. The house is constructed in Ruabon red brick over a timber-framed core. It is roofed with Welsh slate.
Christleton Hall
For the building with a similar name see Christleton Old Hall Christleton Hall is a former country house in the village of Christleton, Cheshire, England. It was built in about 1750 for Townsend Ince. The building was later used as a boarding school, and since 2004 it has been a law college. Additions were made to it in the middle of the 19th century, and in the early part of the 20th century. The house is constructed in red brick with stone dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof.
Hoole Hall
Hoole Hall is a former country house located to the north of Chester, Cheshire, England. It originated as a small house in about 1760, built for the Rev John Baldwin. After Rev Baldwin's death in 1793, the house passed to his eldest son, Thomas Baldwin, who then sold the house and surrounding land in 1800. Extensive additions were made to it in the 19th century for the Hamilton family, including an elaborate cast iron conservatory. The conservatory was designed by Thomas Harrison in about 1820.
