Dunham on the Hill is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire in England. It is located on the A56 main road, near Helsby. The village of Dunham on the Hill is mentioned in Domesday Book. It is situated 120 feet above sea level, south west of Helsby Hill, and 6 miles from Chester. Originally a small hamlet, it has gradually enlarged, and is now divided by the A56 main road.

Plemstall
Plemstall is an area in the civil parish of Mickle Trafford, the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester, and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It lies northeast of the village of Mickle Trafford. It contains the Grade I listed building St Peter's Church, Plemstall, a farm and a former level crossing keeper's house. It is believed that Plegmund lived in this area as a hermit before he became Archbishop of Canterbury in 890.

A ballroom was added in the 19th century. As of 2011 the building is used as a hotel and conference centre, and since 1995 has been the home of the charity the National Communities Resource Centre. The house is constructed in brick with stone dressings and slate roofs. Its architectural style is Georgian.
