Langley, Cheshire
Langley is a semi-rural village in the county of Cheshire, England, on the River Bollin, near Macclesfield and Macclesfield Forest. Langley Mill, founded by William Smith in 1826, became the biggest silk printing, dyeing and finishing works in the world. Langley Mill later went on to become Specialised Automobile Services, a specialist wire wheel manufacturer for classic and modern cars.

The existing woodland is the last substantial remnant of the Royal Forest of Macclesfield, a once-extensive ancient hunting reserve. The area also includes two reservoirs, Trentabank and Ridgegate.

Trentabank Reservoir Nature Reserve is a 42.7-acre nature reserve in Macclesfield Forest, southeast of Macclesfield, Cheshire, England. Comprising Trentabank Reservoir itself along with a small area of the surrounding conifer plantations, it is managed by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust. On the doorstep of the Peak District, the reservoir (as well as the surrounding woodland) is owned by United Utilities and supplies the town of Macclesfield with drinking water.

Langley Hall is a country house in the village of Langley, Cheshire, England. It was built in about 1650, and is described by the authors of the Buildings of England series as "a distinguished house". The house is constructed in coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, and is roofed in stone slate. It has two storeys and an attic. Sutton Hall is a former country house to the west of the village of Sutton Lane Ends, Cheshire, England. It dates from the middle of the 17th century, with additions and alterations in the late 18th century. By the 20th century it had been converted into a hotel. It is constructed partly in stone, and partly in timber framing, with a U-shaped plan. The arms of the "U" end in irregular gables. The left gable is in stone, and the right is timber-framed.
