Hughenden Manor
Hughenden Manor is a red brick Victorian mansion, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. In the 19th century, it was the country house of the Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli. Today, it is owned by the National Trust and fully open to the public. The house sits on the brow of the hill to the west of the main A4128 road that links Hughenden to High Wycombe .
Widmer End
Widmer End is a hamlet in the parish of Hughenden, in Buckinghamshire, England. The Village of Widmer End is situated about three miles north of High Wycombe town centre. In the last half century it has grown from a rural hamlet into a commuter suburb while still retaining much of its attractiveness. It boasts a population of about 2000, a church, a pub now closed after 150 years (Enterprise Inns the last owners), a school, some shops, and a village hall and recreation ground.
Holmer Green F.C
Holmer Green F.C. are an F.A. Charter Standard football club based at Holmer Green near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, England. The club is affiliated to the Berks & Bucks Football Association. They were established in 1908 and were founder members of the Chiltonian League in 1984. For the 2012–13 season, they are members of the Spartan South Midlands Football League Premier Division. They are currently managed by Chris Allen.
Heath End, Buckinghamshire
Heath End is a hamlet in the parish of Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire, England. During the 20th century, it became attached to Great Kingshill to the south west. The old centre of the hamlet is where Spurlands End Road meets Heath End Road. The hamlet's name is derived from being historically located at the edge of a large area of heathland (now vanished) called Wycombe Heath or Holmer Heath which once covered several thousand acres to the south.
Spurlands End
Spurlands End is a hamlet in the parish of Little Missenden, in Buckinghamshire, England. For most of its history, it consisted of just five neighbouring farms along Spurlands End Road - Wycombe Heath Farm, Bramble Farm, Spurlands End Farm, Nortons Farm, and Copes Farm. The hamlet used to lay in the Manor of Peterley (sometimes "Peterley Stone") which, for many years, was presided over by the Lords Dormer. A Victorian windmill was also once sited here.
Four Ashes, Buckinghamshire
Four Ashes is a hamlet in the parish of Hughenden, in Buckinghamshire, England. It was formerly the site of Rockhalls manor house - home to the medieval Wellesbourne family and later home to the Widmer family. A farm on the site still bears the Rockhalls name and parts of the old manorial moat are visible. Local legend tells of a dragon that lived at Four Ashes and whose image was painted onto the walls of the old manor house.
Little Kingshill School
Little Kingshill Combined School is a co-educational primary combined school located on Windsor Lane in the village of Little Kingshill, Buckinghamshire, England. It was established in 1887 as a village nursery school, but expanded to its current combined status from the 1960s onwards. It serves Little Kingshill and the surrounding catchment area, providing a high standard of education from three to eleven years of age.
St Michael and All Angels Church, Hughenden
St Michael and All Angels Church is a Grade: II* listed Anglican church in the Hughenden Valley, Buckinghamshire, England, near to High Wycombe. It is closely associated with the nearby Hughenden Manor and the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Benjamin Disraeli who is buried in the churchyard. The church stands in land owned by the National Trust but the church and churchyard belong to the Church of England.
