Chalfont Common is a hamlet in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the Chiltern Hills, to the north of Chalfont St Peter. It is also the home of the Epilepsy Society.
Chenies Manor House
Chenies Manor House, at Chenies, Buckinghamshire, southern England, a Grade I Listed Building, known formerly as Chenies Palace, was owned by the Cheyne family who were granted the manorial rights in 1180. The current house was built around 1460 by Sir John Cheyne. His widow, Lady Agnes Cheyne, left the manor house in a contested will to her niece, Anne Semark, wife of Sir David Phelip in 1494.
Milton's Cottage
Milton's Cottage is a timber framed 16th century building located in the Buckinghamshire village of Chalfont St Giles. In 1665 John Milton and his wife, moved into the cottage to escape the Plague in London. Despite the fact that Milton spent less than a year at the cottage, it is important because of it being his only extant residence. While at the Grade 1 listed sixteenth-century cottage Milton completed his best known work, Paradise Lost; the seeds for Paradise Regained were also sown here.

The museum was founded in 1976 and aims to rescue and restore common English buildings from the Chilterns, which might otherwise have been destroyed or demolished. The buildings have been relocated to the museum's 45-acre site, which includes woodland and parkland.

The National Land Company was founded as the Chartist Cooperative Land Company in 1845 by the chartist Feargus O'Connor to help working-class people satisfy the landholding requirement to gain a vote in county seats in Great Britain. It was wound up by Act of Parliament by 1851.
The Vache
The Vache is an estate near Chalfont St. Giles in Buckinghamshire. The Vache was the family seat of the Fleetwood family. In 1660 George Fleetwood was found guilty of the regicide of King Charles I in January 1649, and although his life was spared, his estate of The Vache was confiscated and given to the then Duke of York, the future King James II. The Vache is the site of monument to Captain James Cook erected by Admiral Hugh Palliser, a one time owner of the estate.
