Yalta Conference
The Yalta Conference, sometimes called the Crimea Conference and codenamed the Argonaut Conference, held February 4–11, 1945, was the World War II meeting of the heads of government of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union, represented by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and General Secretary Joseph Stalin, respectively, for the purpose of discussing Europe's post-war reorganization.
Artek (camp)
Artek is a former Young Pioneer camp today is an international children center near Gurzuf, Ukraine. It was established on June 16, 1925 on the Black Sea in the town of Gurzuf located on the Crimean peninsula, near Medved Mountain, Ukraine. The center is part of the State Management of Affairs. The camp first hosted only 80 children but then grew rapidly. In 1969 it had an area of 3.2 km².
Livadia Palace
Livadia Palace was a summer retreat of the last Russian tsar, Nicholas II, and his family in Livadiya, Crimea in southern Ukraine. The Yalta Conference was held there in 1945, when the palace housed the apartments of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and other members of the American delegation. Today the palace houses a museum, but it is sometimes used by the Ukrainian authorities for international summits.

Nikitsky Botanical Garden (Ukrainian: Нікітський ботанічний сад, Russian: Никитский ботанический сад) is one of the oldest botanical gardens. It is located in Crimea, Ukraine, close to Yalta, by the shores of the Black Sea. It was founded in 1812 and named after the settlement Nikita, Ukraine. Its founder and first director was Russian botanist Christian Steven of Swedish descent.
Swallow's Nest
The Swallow's Nest (Ukrainian: Ластівчине гніздо, Lastivchyne hnizdo) is a decorative castle located between Yalta and Alupka on the Crimean peninsula in southern Ukraine. It was built between 1911 and 1912 in Gaspra, on top of 40-metre (130 ft) high Aurora Cliff, to a Neo-Gothic design by the Russian architect Leonid Sherwood. The castle overlooks the Cape of Ai-Todor of the Black Sea and is located near the remnants of the Roman castrum of Charax.
Ayu-Dag
Ayu-Dag or Medved'-gora, is the peak in Crimea, Ukraine. It is also known under Russified name Medved'-gora. The peak is located 16 km north-east from Yalta between the towns of Gurzuf and Partenit. The mountain is laccolith. Today its territory is a Nature reserve (5.5 km). There is a pioneer children's camp Artek near Ayu-Dag (Medved' Mountain) which is well known internationally. The eastern slopes of Ayu-Dag lead to an ancient settlement Partenit.
Ai-Petri
Ai-Petri; (translated from Greek. Saint Peter) is a peak in the Crimean Mountains. For administrative purposes it is in the Yalta municipality of Crimea. The name has Greek origin, and is translated as St. Peter. Ai-Petri is one of the windiest places in Ukraine. The wind blows for 125 days a year, reaching a speed of 50 m/s . The peak is located above the city of Alupka and the town of Koreiz.
Uchan-su (waterfall)
Uchan-su, is a waterfall on the river Uchan-su on the southern slopes of the Crimean Mountains. The name translates from the Crimean Tatar language for swift water. Uchan-su is a popular tourist attraction and is the highest waterfall in Ukraine. Located 7 km from the city of Yalta halfway to Ai-Petri Mountain. The waterfall is 98 metres high at an altitude of 390 metres and is most powerful during the spring when it is fed by snow melt in the mountains.
Uchan-su (river)
Uchan-su, is a river that flows in the South Coast of Crimea. The name translates from the Crimean Tatar language for 'swift water' . The river runs into the Black Sea in the center city of Yalta. It begins at the foot of Ai-Petri, flows upstream the gorge and then at a distance of 2 km from the source forms the Uchan-su waterfall, located at an altitude of 390 meters and consists of several levels (the height of the waterfall is 98 meters).
Roffe Bath
Roffe Bath is a historical monument located in the center of Yalta, part of the ensemble "France" built by the famous architect Nikolay Krasnov, designer of the Greater Livadia Palace by the order of merchant A.I. Rofe, the owner of the guild "Rofe (Roffe) and sons" with the pool added in front of the portal in Moorish style. Famous personalities as Ivan Bunin, Fyodor Shalyapin, Anton Chekhov and other members of the Society of Writers and scholars stayed in the Roffe Bath.
