Irpin River
The Irpin’ or Irpen’ is a river in Ukraine, a right tributary of the Dnieper. It is 162 km in length and flows through the city of Irpin'. The location where Irpin' enters the Dnieper river falls into the Kiev Reservoir which the Dnieper forms because of the Kiev Hydro-Electric Power Plant dam. Thus, the Dnieper water level at this location is lifted artificially by about 6.5–7 meters above the natural level.

The Church of the Tithes or Church of the Dormition of the Virgin (Ukrainian: Десятинна Церква, Desiatynna Tserkva; Russian: Десятинная Церковь, Desyatinnaya Tserkov') was the first stone church in Kiev. Originally it was built by the order of Grand Prince Vladimir (Volodymyr) the Great between 989 and 996 by Byzantine and local workers at the site of death of martyrs Theodor the Varangian and his son Johann.

National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) (Ukrainian: Національний університет «Києво-Могилянська академія», Natsional'nyi universytet "Kyyevo-Mohylians'ka akademiya") is a national, coeducational research university located in Kiev, Ukraine. The Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the school's predecessor, was established in 1632. The NaUKMA is located on the Academy's grounds in the ancient Podil neighborhood. In 1991, it was re-organized, and teaching began the following year.
St Andrew's Church, Kiev
The Saint Andrew's Church is a major Baroque church located in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The church was constructed in 1747–1754, to a design by the Imperial Russian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. It is sometimes incorrectly referred to as a cathedral. Fountain of Samson, Kiev

Great Podil fire
The 1811 Great fire of Podil (Ukrainian: Велика пожежа, Velyka pozhezha) occurred on the morning of June 9, 1811 in the historical and commercial neighborhood of Podil in Kiev (Kyiv), the capital of Ukraine. The fire lasted for three days and almost destroyed the whole neighborhood. Before the fire, the Podil was the city's most densely populated neighborhood; out of 3,672 households in the city, 2,068 were located in the Podil.

The Ukrainian Registered Cossacks (URC) (Ukrainian: Українське реєстрове козацтво, Russian: Украинское реестровое казачество); is a public organization " registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine 8 July 2002. The URC consists of nearly 70,000 cossacks. It has a hymn, flag, logo, insignia,awards and newspaper, "Ukraine of Cossacks".
Brotherhood Monastery
The Epiphany or Theophany Monastery (better known as Bratsky, or Brotherhood Monastery) is an Orthodox monastery in Podil, Kiev, Ukraine, in the vicinity of Kontraktova Square. Its history has been interwoven with that of Mohyla Academy which now occupies the remaining monastery buildings. The monastery is supposed to have been founded by Patriarch Jeremias II of Constantinople. Patriarch Theophanes III of Jerusalem had it reorganized as a local brotherhood school, hence the name.
Volodymyrska Hill
Volodymyrska Hill or St. Volodymyr's Hill (Ukrainian: Володимирська гірка, "Volodymyrska hirka") is a large 10.6 hectares park located on the steep banks of the Dnipro River in central Kiev (Kyiv), the capital of Ukraine. The park was established in the mid-19th century, its name reflecting the statue of St. Volodymyr of Kiev which was erected in 1853 in the park. It has since become one of the symbols of Kiev, often depicted in paintings and photographic works of the city.

Gostiny Dvor (Kiev)
Gostinny Dvor (Ukrainian: Гостинний двір, Hostynnyi dvir; Russian: Гостиный двор, Gostinny dvor) is a trade complex built in Kiev, Ukraine (at the time part of the Russian Empire) back in 1809 by Luigi Rusca. It is located at the Kontraktova Ploshcha (Contract Square) in the historical neighborhood of Podil. The complex replaced its older predecessor that was built in 1760s by Ivan Hryhorovych-Barskyi. After the great 1811 fire it was reconstructed under the supervision of Andrey Melensky.
