University of Kharkiv
The University of Kharkiv or officially the Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukrainian: Харківський національний університет імені В. Н. Каразіна) is one of the major universities in Ukraine, and earlier in the Russian Empire and Soviet Union. It was founded in 1804 through the efforts of Vasyl Karazin becoming the second oldest university in Ukraine after the University of Lviv.
Freedom Square, Kharkiv
Freedom Square (Ukrainian: Площа Свободи, Plóshcha Svobodý; Russian: Площадь Свободы, Plóshchad' Svobódy) in Kharkiv is the 6-th largest city-centre square in Europe. Originally named (1926–1996) Dzerzhinsky Square after Felix Dzerzhinsky, the founder of the Bolshevik secret police. Since the independence of Ukraine in 1991 it was named as Freedom Square.
Kholodna Hora (Kharkiv Metro)
Kholodna Hora is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Kholodnohirsko–Zavodska Line. The station is presently the western terminus of the line and was opened on August 23, 1975. It is located under the Poltavsky Shosse, in the middle of the Kholodna Hora residential district in the western part of Kharkiv. Until October 8, 1995, the station and the street on which it is located were known as Vulytsia Sverdlova (Ulitsa Sverdlova), literally Street of Sverdlov.
Pivdennyi Vokzal (Kharkiv Metro)
The Pivdennyi Vokzal or Yuzhny Vokzal is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Kholodnohirsko–Zavodska Line. The station was opened on August 23, 1975. It is located beneath a square near Kharkiv's main railway station, Pivdennyy Vokzal, literally Southern Station, for which the metro station is named. From the station hall, two pedestrian tunnels lead directly to the control building of the railway station and to the post office and out-of-town ticket counters within the train station.

The Tsentralnyi Rynok is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Kholodnohirsko–Zavodska Line. The station was opened on August 23, 1975. It is located in the central part of Kharkiv, near the №2 bus station and the Tsentralny Rynok, literally Central Market, for which the station is named. In the beginning, a station named Kommynalnyi Rynok was planned to be built in the Blagoveschenskyi Raion.

The Radianska or Sovetskaya is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Kholodnohirsko–Zavodska Line. The station was opened on August 23, 1975. It is located in the historical part of Kharkiv, beneath the Ploscha Konstytutsii, literally Constitution square, previously known as Soviet Square. The Radianska station forms a complex with the adjacent station, Istorychnyi Muzei, on the Saltivska Line.

The Universytet is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Saltivska Line. The station was opened on August 10, 1984 and is located beneath the Ploscha Svobody, at the time, the largest square in Europe and the second largest in the world after Tiananmen Square, in the centre of Kharkiv. The station is named after the Kharkiv National University, which is located on top of the square.

Botanichnyi Sad (Kharkiv Metro)
Botanichnyi Sad is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Oleksiivska Line. The station is one of two new stations added to the metro system on August 21, 2004, the other one being 23 Serpnia. The station is located under the Lenin Prospect in the northern part of Kharkiv's city center. The station's name and architectural design recalls the surrounding botanical garden of the Kharkiv University.

It's a state-owned higher school of the IV-level accreditation and belongs to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. In the 2006/2007 academic year, the population included 12,860 students, 690 professors and teachers.
Palace of Sports "Lokomotiv"
Palace of Sports "Lokomotiv" (Ukrainian: Палац спорту «Локомотив» Russian: Дворец спорта «Локомотив») is an indoor arena in the eastern Ukrainian city Kharkiv. Rebuilt in 2004, it has a seating capacity for 4,000 people. It is the home for the matches of the Ukrainian Fed Cup team, volleyball and it is also used for boxing matches. The arena is the regular home venue of the futsal team MFK Lokomotiv Kharkiv and the Lokomotiv Kharkiv volleyball team.

The Hetman Mazepa Cossack Research Center (Ukrainian: Науково-дослідний Центр козацтва імені гетьмана Мазепи; Russian: Научно-исследовательский Центр казачества имени гетмана Мазепы) is a public scientific organization, сreated in Kharkiv in 2003, for research into the historical, patriotic, military, spiritual and cultural traditions of the Ukrainian Cossacks, and on modern Cossack activities in Ukraine. The Center is named for the early 18th-century Ukrainian hetman, Ivan Mazepa.
Zerkalʹnaya struya
Zerkalʹnaya struya or Dzerkalʹnyi struminʹ is a fountain in Kharkiv, Ukraine. It is near the Kharkiv Academic Opera and Ballet. It was built in 1947. It remains one of the most remarkable architectural monuments in Kharkiv and, due to that, has been listed in UNESCO's Encyclopedia.

Assumption Cathedral, Kharkiv
The Assumption or Dormition Cathedral was the main Orthodox church of Kharkiv, Ukraine until the construction of the Annunciation Cathedral in 1901. The cathedral stands on the University Hill by the bank of the Lopan River and dominates the entire downtown. The Neoclassical cathedral bell tower, built in the 1820s and 1830s to a height of 90 meters, remained the tallest building in the city until the 21st century. The original Dormition Church was built in the Kharkov Fortress in the 1680s.
Annunciation Cathedral, Kharkiv
The Annunciation Cathedral is the main Orthodox church of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The pentacupolar Neo-Byzantine structure with a distinctive 80-meter-tall bell tower was completed on October 2, 1888, from designs by a local architect, Mikhail Lovtsov. The church was consecrated in 1901, and the earlier Annunciation church was then pulled down.

The Istorychnyi Myzei (Ukrainian: Історичний музей; literally "Historic Museum") is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Saltivska Line. The station was opened on August 10, 1984 and is currently the southwestern-most terminus of the Saltivska Line. It is located beneath the Maidan Konstytutsii, literally Constitution square in the historical part of Kharkiv, and is named for the historical museum which is located on the square.

Peremoha (Kharkiv Metro)
Peremoha (Ukrainian: Перемога; literally, Victory) will be the 30th station of the Kharkiv Metro, located on the system's Oleksiivska Line. The station will be located immediately north of the Oleksiivska station, and will become the line's new terminus upon its completion. Peremoha is named after the Prospect Peremohy road, which runs through the vicinity. Construction began on the station back in the 1990s, although construction was stopped numerous times.
