Shakhtar Stadium
Shakhtar Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium that is located in the Shcherbakov Central Park, in Donetsk, Ukraine. It is currently used mostly for football matches. Shakhtar Stadium was the prime home ground for Shakhtar Donetsk until 1996. The stadium holds 31,718 people. Shakhtar Stadium is currently used by FC Shakhtar Donetsk reserves and FC Metalurh Donetsk for the European competition. The stadium was built in 1936 with the most recent reconstruction in 2000.
Donbass Arena
Donbass Arena or Donbas Arena is a stadium with a natural grass pitch in Donetsk, Ukraine that opened on 29 August 2009. The facility is located in the center of the city, in the Lenin Comsomol park. With a capacity of 52,518 spectators, the Stadium hosts FC Shakhtar Donetsk matches and hosted some matches of Euro 2012. It is also one of the popular nightlife spots in Donetsk. The initial estimated cost of the project was USD 250m.
RSC Olimpiyskiy
RSK Olimpiyskyi is a multi-purpose stadium in Donetsk, Ukraine, owned by Shakhtar Donetsk. The stadium's maximum capacity is 25,678, and it is used exclusively for football matches. After its reconstruction in 2003, the stadium was also host to Shakhtar's city-rivals, FC Metalurh Donetsk. Shakhtar became the sole tenant of the stadium from 2004, until their new Donbass Arena was completed. FC Metalurh Donetsk has moved back to their own stadium, Metalurh Stadium which is considerably smaller.
2007 Zasyadko mine disaster
The 2007 Zasyadko mine disaster was a mining accident that happened on November 18, 2007 at the Zasyadko coal mine (Ukrainian: Шахта ім. Засядько) in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk. At present, 101 miners are dead: the worst accident in Ukraine’s history. At the time of the explosion, 457 miners were in the complex.
Metalurh Stadium (Donetsk)
Metalurh Stadium is a football-only stadium in Donetsk, Ukraine. It is currently used for football matches, and is the new home of FC Metalurh Donetsk. The stadium's official maximum capacity is 5,094. It is not qualified to host UEFA competitions, therefore the team leases Shakhtar Stadium, for such games. The stadium's full former name is the 125th Anniversary of Donetsk Metallurgical Factory Stadium.

Ahat Jami Mosque, Donetsk
The Ahat Cami Mosque, (Ukrainian: Мечеть Ахать Джамі) is a congregational mosque located in Donetsk, Ukraine. The mosque was named in honor of Akhat Bragin and one of its minarets is named after Rinat Akhmetov. It is the first mosque that was built in Donets basin since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Lenin Comsomol park
Lenin Komsomol park (Ukrainian: Парк культури і відпочинку ім. Ленінського комсомолу) is a popular recreation area in Donetsk. It was considered back in 1952, when Central Scherbakov Park of Culture and Leisure could no more fully address the city needs due to the fact that "Shakhtar" stadium was built on its territory.
Central Scherbakov Park of Culture and Leisure
Central Park of Culture and Leisure named after Shcherbakov is a recreation park in Donetsk. It is located in Voroshylovskyi Raion, in the west it matches with stadium Shakhtar, and in the north there is the Second city pond. Park was open in 1932. There are rides, playgrounds, alleys for hiking and other recreational facilities available for visitors. The park is named after Alexander Sergeevich Shcherbakov, who was the Secretary of the Donetsk Oblast Party Committee in 1938.
To Donbass Liberators
To Donbass Liberators (Ukrainian: Твоїм визволителям, Донбасе) is a monument in Lenin Comsomol park, Donetsk, dedicated to the memory of all military units and formations that liberated Donbas during the Great Patriotic War (World War II). It is the largest monument in the south-east of Ukraine, the main military history monument of the city and region. Memorial events dedicated to Victory Day are traditionally held near the monument.
