Gulf of Gökova
Gulf of Gökova or Gulf of Kerme, is a long (100 km), narrow gulf of the Aegean Sea between Bodrum Peninsula and Datça Peninsula in south-west Turkey. Administratively, Gulf of Gökova coastline includes portions of the districts of, clockwise, Bodrum, Milas, Muğla, Ula, Marmaris and Datça. The Greek island of Kos lies along the entry into the Gulf. Bodrum, located in its northwest reaches, is the only large city on the gulf today.

It has one of the most special beaches in the world which is famous for its beach made from seashells. It is said that this organic sand was brought by ships from the Red Sea especially for Cleopatra.
Aksaz Naval Base
Aksaz Naval Base (Turkish: Aksaz Deniz Üssü) is a base of the Turkish Navy on the south-east coast of the Aegean Sea in Marmaris, Muğla. In addition to the military buildings, the base houses apartment-like barracks and social facilities stretched over 8,000 acres of land. Six helicopters are also stationed at Aksaz.

Armutalan is a town in Marmaris district of Muğla Province, Turkey. Although an independent municipality it is merged to Marmaris to the southeast.
