Sarıyer (also called Sarıyar) is a village in Erdemli district of Mersin Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:36|43|N|34|24|E||| | |name= }} it is situated in the peneplane area to the south of Toros Mountains. Its distance to Erdemli is 17 kilometres and to Mersin is 27 kilometres . The population of Sarıyar was 659 as of 2011. There are historical ruins around the village . But the settlement was founded by the Yörüks.
