Izmir
Izmir is a large metropolis in the western extremity of Anatolia and the third most populous city in Turkey. Izmir's metropolitan area extends along the outlying waters of the Gulf of İzmir and inland to the north across Gediz River's delta, to the east along an alluvial plain created by several small streams and to a slightly more rugged terrain in the south.

İzmir Atatürk Sport Hall (Turkish: İzmir Atatürk Spor Salonu) is an indoor sport venue located in the district of Alsancak in İzmir, Turkey. The hall has a capacity for 3,000 people. Home of the basketball club Tuborgspor, it is the biggest indoor sport hall in İzmir, where competitions of basketball, volleyball and handball are held. İzmir Atatürk Sport Hall hosted basketball games of the Universiade 2005, which was held between August 11 and 21 2005 in İzmir.

The Izmir International Fair, also spelled İzmir International Fair, is the oldest tradeshow in Turkey, considered the cradle of Turkey's fairs and expositions industry, and is also notable for hosting a series of simultaneous festival activities. The fair and the festival are held in the compound of İzmir's vast inner city park named Kültürpark in the first days of September, and organized by İZFAŞ, a depending company of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality.
Karataş, Izmir
Karataş is a neighborhood of İzmir, Turkey, within the boundaries of the city's central metropolitan district of Konak. The neighborhood no longer has an official delimitation or status and exists as a notional zone (semt) that is admitted to stretch along the small cove of the same name (Karataş Cove) in the Gulf of İzmir. Its area roughly corresponds to the officially delimited quarter (mahalle) named Turgut Reis.
Kadifekale
Kadifekale (literally "the velvet castle" in Turkish) is the name of the hill located within the urban zone of İzmir, Turkey, as well as being the name of the ancient castle on top of the same hill. Both the hill and the castle were named Pagos in pre-Turkish times and by the local Greeks in modern times.

Göztepe is a neighborhood of İzmir, situated on the southern shore of the Gulf of İzmir, administratively within the boundaries of the metropolitan district of Konak. Eşrefpaşa
Eşrefpaşa is a popular and rooted neighborhood of İzmir within the metropolitan district of Konak. It does not have an official status and delimitation and exists rather as a notion. Eşrefpaşa encompasses up to twenty officially constituted and densely populated quarters (mahalle) in the city's inner parts.
Asansör
Asansör is a historical building in İzmir's Karataş quarter, within the boundaries of the metropolitan district of Konak. It was built in 1907 as a work of public service by a wealthy Jewish banker and trader of that period, Nesim Levi Bayraklıoğlu, in order to ease passage from the narrow coastline of Karataş to the hillside, the elevator within the building serving to carry people and goods through the steep cliff between the two parts of the quarter.
American Collegiate Institute
Founded in 1878, the American Collegiate Institute (“Özel İzmir Amerikan Koleji” in Turkish), referred to by the acronym ACI, is a private co-educational high school in Goztepe, İzmir, Turkey. ACI was founded, and is now run, by the charity foundation SEV, Sağlık ve Eğitim Vakfı. The school’s motto is “Enter to Learn; Depart to Serve”, and the school song is “Hail Alma Mater Fair”.
Buca Arena
Buca Arena is a football stadium in Izmir and is located near to Yedigöller, north of Buca. Construction began in 2008; the opening ceremony of the new stadium was in 2009. The official capacity of Buca Arena is 10,000. Near the stadium, a carpet area, two basketball courts, jogging paths and a 300 car parking lot are located. Bucaspor played its first official match against Çorumspor on 18 January 2009.
Halkapınar (İzmir Metro)
The Halkapınar Metro Station is a metro station on the Izmir Metro. The station was built in 1999 and opened in 2000. The station is a part of the Halkapınar Transportation Center where connections are available to the Turkish State Railways and ESHOT, İZULAŞ bus services. The İzmir Metro has a maintenance facility next to the station as well.
İzmir Basmane Terminal
İzmir Basmane Terminal is one of the two main railway stations in İzmir, the other being Alsancak. The station is serviced by regional train service going to Nazilli, Aydın, Ödemiş, Tire, Selçuk and Söke.
İzmir Alsancak Terminal
Alsancak Terminal or Alsancak Railway Station in İzmir is the second-oldest railway station in Turkey, after the Kemer Railway Station (also in İzmir), being completed in 1858. The station houses the headquarters of TCDD District 3 and is the largest station in Turkey by size. Alsancak station is one of the busiest stations in Turkey. The station was electrified in 2001, with 25 kV AC overhead wire.

İzmir Art and Sculpture Museum
The İzmir Art and Sculpture Museum and Gallery (Turkish: İzmir Resim Heykel Müzesi ve Galerisi) is an art museum in İzmir, Turkey. Established by the Turkish state in 1952 as the İzmir State Painting and Sculpture Museum, the museum was later moved from the Kültürpark to its present location on Atatürk Boulevard near the Konak pier. The small museum displays mostly 20th century paintings and sculptures from Turkish artists, and has a substantial collection of works by Turgut Pura.
İzmir Atatürk Anadolu Teknik Lisesi
İzmir Atatürk Anadolu Teknik Lisesi (İzmir Atatürk Anatolian Technical High School), established in 1993, as a part of İzmir Atatürk Andolu Teknik, Teknik ve Endüstri Meslek Lisesi (İzmir Atatürk Anatolian Technical, Technical and Industrial Profession High School), and is one of the oldest Anatolian Technical High Schools of İzmir and Turkey. The high school selects its students with the standardized test of National Anatolian Technical High Schools Examination.
Hilal (İzmir Metro)
Hilal is a station on the İzmir Metro. It is located at the famous Hilal Junction on the site of the former Hilal railway station, that was demolished in 2002.
Basmane (İzmir Metro)
Basmane is an underground station on the Üçyol-Bornova Line of the İzmir Metro. The station is directly beneath Basmane Terminal and is a transfer point between Regional trains from the south to the Subway. Also the station is used for people travelling to the International Fair located near the station.
Üçyol (İzmir Metro)
Üçyol is an underground station on the Üçyol-Bornova Line of the İzmir Metro. The station is beneath İnönü Caddesi and is a terminal station, although additional line towards Fahrettin Altay is under construction. Connections to ESHOT buses are available.
Yalı Mosque
Yalı Mosque (Yalı Camii), also called Konak Mosque, is a Mosque in İzmir, Turkey. It is located on Konak Square in the heart of the city next to the Governor's Mansion and the İzmir Clock Tower. Despite its relatively small size, it is considered one of the landmarks of the city for its distinctive octagonal shape and elaborate tilework. The Mosque was constructed in 1755 under the patronage of Ayşe Hanım, the wife of Katipzade Mehmet Paşa who governed İzmir at the time.
