The House of Representatives sits in the Red House in Port of Spain. It has 41 members, each elected to represent single-seat constituencies. The Parliament is elected with a five-year life-span, but may be dissolved earlier by the President at any time if so advised by the Prime Minister.
Hasely Crawford Stadium
The Hasely Crawford Stadium, located in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, is named after Hasely Crawford, the first person from Trinidad and Tobago to win an Olympic gold medal. Originally built as the National Stadium in 1980, the stadium was renamed to honour Crawford in 2001. The stadium holds 27,000 people. It hosted the final of the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship. San Juan Jabloteh of the TT Pro League calls the stadium home.

Formerly, a slum called rat town, the community evolved as a residential area to some extent. The area still has squatters living in the vicinity. In 2008-9 the government built a four foot (1.2m) high wall around the 'gardens'.
