University of Dar es Salaam
The University of Dar es Salaam is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's largest city and former capital. The university was formed in 1961 as an affiliate college of the University of London. The university became an affiliate of the University of East Africa (UEA) in 1963, shortly after Tanzania gained its independence from the United Kingdom.
Kinondoni District
Kinondoni District is the northernmost of three districts in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the others being Temeke (to the far Southeast) and Ilala (downtown Dar es Salaam). To the east is the Indian Ocean, to the north and west the Pwani Region of Tanzania. Temeke District
Temeke District is the southernmost of three districts in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with Kinondoni located to the far North of the city, and Ilala being located in the downtown of Dar es Salaam. To the East is the Indian Ocean and to the South and West is the Coastal region of Tanzania. Ilala District
Ilala District is one of three districts in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the others being Temeke to the South and Kinondoni to the North. The 2002 National Tanzania Census states the population for Ilala as 634,924. http://www. tanzania. go. tz/census/census/districts/ilala. htm The area is 273 km². Ilala is commonly referred to as 'Downtown Dar', where much of the commerce, banking, and national offices are located.
Ubungo
Ubungo is a ward in the Kinondoni district of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It is located in the western part of the district and is known throughout much of Tanzania as one of the central hubs of transportation because of its massive bus terminal.
Uhuru Stadium
Uhuru stadium, (formerly known as the Tanzania National Stadium) is the current home of Tanzanian Dar es Salaam-based football clubs Simba SC and Young Africans FC. It is currently undergoing major renovations, and will have a capacity of approximately 20,000 people up completion. It is located next to the new national stadium of the Tanzania national football team, the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, which has an all seated capacity of 60,000 people.
Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium
National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, named after the 3rd president of Tanzania, Benjamin William Mkapa. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It currently holds 60,000 people. The stadium opened in 2007. The structure cost TZS 56.4bn/-. It was constructed by the Beijing Construction Engineering Company Limited. Tanzania contributed TZS 25bn/- and China donated the rest. The Complex is according to the FIFA and Olympic Standards.
Benjamin William Mkapa Pension Tower
Mafuta House is one of the tallest buildings in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It is a multi-million U.S. Dollar building owned by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) that will be used for retail and commercial space. After a 5 year halt due to lack of funds by its previous owners, Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and the National Housing Corporation (NHC), its construction resumed in late 2004 when NSSF purchased the unfinished building and continued the construction.

Pugu, Tanzania
Pugu is a Tanzanian village close to Kisarawi, about 20 km south-west of Dar es Salaam. It is formally an administrative ward of the Ilala District, in the Dar es Salaam Region. At the 2002 census, the ward had a total population of 14,652. Pugu is located in a hilly region called the Pugu Hills. The local population is mostly from the Zaramo ethnic group, with a smaller percentage of Makonde people. The village has a large cattle market, a school, and a mission.
Mlimani City
Mlimani City is a shopping mall in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It is the largest mall in the country, with an area of 19,000 m . It was opened in November 2006, and is Tanzania's first indoor air conditioned mall. The mall has several stores, restaurants and a movie theater, Century Cinemax, which has the biggest screen in East Africa. Among the stores are the South African chains Shoprite, Game and Mr. Price.
Kigamboni Bridge
Kigamboni Bridge is a bridge currently under construction in Tanzania. It will connect the Dar es Salaam central business district to the Kigamboni ward across the Kurasini creek. Construction work began in February 2012 and is expected to complete in 36 months. At present, the Kivukoni ferry links the two places.
Tanzania Institute of Technological Sciences
Tanzanian Institute of Technological Sciences is located in Dar Es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania. The university was established in 2011 with the first batch joining in 2012 and graduating in 2016. The Tanzania Institute of Technological Science (TITS) is affiliated to the University of Dar Es Salaam and the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
