Al-Hamadaniah Stadium
Al-Hamadaniah Stadium is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium in Aleppo, Syria. It is mostly used for football matches and has a capacity of 18,000 spectators. Al-Hamadaniah stadium serves as a home ground for Hurriya SC and sometimes for Al-Ittihad Aleppo as well. It hosted many of Syria national football team's matches before the inauguration of Aleppo International Stadium. The venue can also stage athletics tournaments with its up-to-date track and facilities.
Bab Antakeya
Bāb Antakiya formed one of the most important defense gates in Aleppo, protecting the city from the west. Baba Antakiya is located in the centre of the western wall of the old city of Aleppo, and its name was derived from Antioch, the capital of ancient Syria, as the gate was the main exit which was leading to the city of Antioch. It is one of the oldest gates built due to its strategic site thus going through several construction periods.
Aleppo International Stadium
Aleppo International Stadium is an Olympic-standard, multi-use, all-covered and all-seater stadium in the Syrian city of Aleppo. It is the largest stadium in Syria, and is currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as a home ground of Al-Ittihad football club. It also hosted some home games of the Syrian football team. The stadium was opened in 2007 and holds 75,000 spectators. The venue is a part of al-Hamadaniah sports city which is located in the southern districts of Aleppo.
International School of Aleppo
Founded in 1977, the English language International School of Aleppo (ISA) is the only International Baccalaureate World School in Syria. It offers the IB Primary Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme. The school's other major programs include International General Certificate of Secondary Education for 9th and 10th graders. The ISA is a co-educational day school sponsored by International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).
Central Synagogue of Aleppo
The Central Synagogue of Aleppo,, also known as the Great Synagogue of Aleppo, Joab's Synagogue or Al-Bandara Synagogue, has been a Jewish place of worship since the 5th century C.E. When it functioned, it was considered the main synagogue of the Syrian Jewish community. The synagogue is noted as being the location where the Aleppo codex was housed for over five hundred years until it was burned by the Arabs in a pogrom against Jews in 1947. This synagogue still stands.
Armenian Evangelical Emmanuel Church
The Armenian Evangelical Emmanuel Church, is an Armenian Evangelical church in Aleppo, Syria. The church has been established in 1852. The building that is currently being used as a place of worship was built in 1923. The Church has a wealthy past.
Bab al-Faraj (Aleppo)

Bab al-Jinan
Bāb Jnēn (Gate of Gardens) was one of the gates of Aleppo that used to lead to gardens on the banks of the Quwēq river. The gate was demolished about 120 years ago in order to widen the road. There used to be numerous exchangers and storage houses for goods near the gate, and a pine dating back to the 16th century. The gate had a tower called the "serpent tower" in which was said to be a talisman capable of protecting from serpent bites. Bāb Jnēn today is the site of a traditional souk.
Al-Firdaws Madrasa
Al-Firdaws Madrasa is a madrasah complex located southwest of Bab al-Maqam in Aleppo, Syria. It is the largest and best known of the Ayyubid madrasas in Aleppo. Due to its location outside the city walls, the madrasa was developed as a freestanding structure.
Al-Halawiyah Madrasa
Al-Halawiyah Madrasa is a madrasah complex located in al-Jalloum district of the Ancient city of Aleppo, Syria. It is built in 1124 on the site of Aleppo's Great Byzantine Cathedral of Saint Helena of the 5th century, where, according to tradition, a Roman temple once stood. Saint Helena, mother of Constantine the Great, built a great Byzantine cathedral there.
Al-Nuqtah Mosque
The Masjid al-Nuqtah is a mosque located on Mount Jawshan in Aleppo, Syria. The main feature of the mosque is a stone believed to be stained with the blood of Husayn ibn ‘Alī by Shī‘ah Muslims. Also located near this mosque on Mount Jawshan, is a mashad (shrine) known as Mashad al-Siqt . As the prisoners of Karbalā were passing through Aleppo, one of wives of Husayn had a miscarriage. The still-born child was named Muhsin, and buried at this place.
Al-Shibani Church
Al-Shibani Building, also called Al-Shibani School and Church is a 12th century religious and cultural centre located in "Al-Jalloum" district at the heart of the Ancient City of Aleppo, Syria. The complex is located to the west of Al-Saffahiyah mosque and to the south of Suq Khan Al-Nahhaseen.
Saadallah Al-Jabiri Square
Saadallah Al-Jabiri Square is the central town square at the heart of the Syrian city of Aleppo. It is the most important square in the city, experiencing most of the celebrations and festivals in Aleppo. The square is adjacent to the "Aleppo Public Park", intersected by "Majd Al-Deen Al-Jabiri" street from the east and "Kamel Al-Ghazzi" street from the west. It took its name from the Syrian patriotic leader and politician; the former prime minister Saadallah al-Jabiri.
Liberty Square, Aleppo
The Liberty Square is an important square at the Aziziyah district, downtown Aleppo, Syria. Intersected by Yusuf al-Azma street from the south to the north, the square is considered to be the beginning of Qestaki al-Homsi street and the end of Faris al-Khoury street from the east, where the church of Saint Michael the Archangel of the Melkite Greek Catholics is located. The main entrance of the Aleppo Public Park is located at the western side of the square on "Majd Al-Deen Al-Jabiri" street.
Sabaa Bahrat Square, Aleppo
Sabaa Bahrat Square is one of the most important squares in Aleppo, Syria. Located at the intersection of "Abdel Menem Riyad street" with "Al-Mutanabbi" street within the ancient part of the city, the square is an important junction between the old city and modern Aleppo. Many important official buildings are located around the square, including the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, Coral Julia Dumna Hotel and the main entrance of Suweiqa; one of the largest covered markets of the old city.
Queiq River
The Queiq (also Qoueiq, Quweiq or Qoueiq, also called Aleppo River is a river and valley of the Aleppo Governorate, Syria and Turkey. It is a 129 kilometres -long river that flows through the northern Syrian city of Aleppo. It arises from the southern Aintab plateau in southeastern Turkey. The Akpınar River in the Kilis plain is one of the headwaters of the Queiq. The former town of Qinnasrin lay on its banks. It partly flows along the western rim of the Matah Depression.
Aleppo 7 April Stadium
7 April Stadium is a multipurpose stadium in the Syrian city of Aleppo owned and operated by the municipality of Aleppo. Opened in 1948, the venue is considered to be the oldest football stadium in Syria. The stadium is used for football matches and is home to Syrian 2nd Division football club Al-Yarmouk SC Aleppo.
Aleppo Public Park
Public Park of Aleppo is a 17 hectare urban park located in Aleppo, Syria. With its hexagonal shape the park is located in Gare de Baghdad district covering an area between Jamiliyeh and Aziziyeh districts. It is bordered by "Majd Al-Deen Al-Jabiri" street from the east, "Kamel Al-Ghazzi" street from the west and Saadallah Al-Jabiri Square from the south. The park is intersected by Queiq River. The park is home to many art works of famous Syrian sculptors.
Ancient City of Aleppo
The Old City of Aleppo is the historic city centre of Aleppo, Syria. Many districts of the ancient city remained essentially unchanged since its construction during the 12th to the 16th century. Being subjected to constant invasions and political instability, the inhabitants of the city were forced to build cell-like quarters and districts that were socially and economically independent. Each district was characterized by the religious and ethnic characteristics of its inhabitants.
Al-Madina Souq
Al-Madina Souq is the covered souq-market located at the heart of the Syrian city of Aleppo within the walled ancient part of the city. With its long and narrow alleys, al-Madina Souq is the largest covered historic market in the world, with an approximate length of 13 kilometers. It is a major trade centre for imported luxury goods, such as raw silk from Iran, spices and dyes from India and many other products.

Aleppo College is a high school based in the Syrian city of Aleppo since 1916. The roots of the college are traced back to the Central Turkey College of Aintab founded between 1874-1876 by the American Mission Board in the Ottoman Empire to serve the large number of Christian Armenian population in the region.

University of Aleppo is a public university located in Aleppo, Syria. It is the second largest university in Syria after the University of Damascus. King Faisal Street
King Faisal Street is a main street in central Aleppo, Syria. Located to the northwest of the Saadallah Al-Jabiri Square connecting the Aleppo Public Park with Al-Sabil Park. The street ends up with Shihan Square to the north of the city centre.
