San Bernardino (road tunnel)
The San Bernardino road tunnel is a road tunnel on the A13 motorway/expressway in southeastern Switzerland, completed in 1967 and replacing the San Bernardino Pass road. It begins near the town of San Bernardino, Graubünden and ends 6.6 km north in Hinterrhein. The speed limit of 80 km/h (50 mph) is enforced by means of speed-check cameras. This road tunnel is considerably less prone to traffic jams than the St. Gotthard Tunnel.

San Bernardino is a mountainous village in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It is the southern entry point to the San Bernardino tunnel, that complemented the road over the San Bernardino Pass in 1967, opening a new all-year-round road to crossing the alps. The village is part of the municipality of Mesocco. The language spoken is Italian, one of the three official languages in the canton of Graubünden.
Tavanasa
Tavanasa lies in the municipality of Breil/Brigels, Graubünden, Switzerland. It has a station on the Disentis - Reichenau line of the Rhätische Bahn railway. Tavanasa is a major sports activities area offering skiing in the winter and watersports along the Rhine in the summer. The Tavanasa Bridge is a major crossing of the Rhine (Vorderrhein).

Safien valley
The Safien valley (Safiental) is an alpine valley of the Canton of Graubünden, branching off the Vorderrhein valley. Part of the Surselva district, it comprises the new municipality of Safiental which was created from the four former municipalities of Valendas, Versam, Tenna and Safien on 1 January 2013. Formerly inhabited by Romansh speakers, it was settled by the Walser in the late 13th century. Population fell from 1,798 in 1850 to 994 in 1980 and has since stabilized just above 1,000.
Zervreilasee
Zervreilasee is a reservoir located south-west of Vals in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The lake has a surface area of 1.61 km² and an elevation of 1,862 m. The maximum depth is 140 m. The dam is 151 m high and was completed in 1957. The village of Zervreila was flooded after the construction of the dam. A 150 metre-long bridge (Canalbrücke) crosses the southern bay of the lake. The Zervreilasee, located near the upper end of the Valser Tal, is surrounded by peaks over 3,000 metres.

Hinterrhein (river)
The Hinterrhein is one of the two initial tributaries of the Rhine (less in length but bigger by volume) in the Canton of Graubünden in Switzerland, flowing from the village Hinterrhein near the San Bernardino pass through the Rheinwald valley into a gorge called Roflaschlucht. In this gorge an equally sized tributary, the Avers Rhine, adds waters from the very remote Avers valley and its side valley Valle di Lei on Italian territory.

The Paradies Glacier is a 2.27 km long glacier (2007) situated in the Lepontine Alps in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. In 1973 it had an area of 3.99 km².

Guraletschsee is a lake above Vals in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland. The lake lies entirely on territory of the municipaliy of Vals. The water from the lake runs down north and is suspected to be divertet to Lake Zervreila at the level of its dam. A popular hike starts at Zervreila, passes the three remote lakes Guraletschsee, Amperveilsee and Selvasee and descends via Selva Alp to Vals. Vals is famous for its spa, designed by Peter Zumthor.

Glenner
The Glenner is a Whitewater river in Graubünden. Glenner was also the name of a district in this area, which was annexed by Surselva District in 2001. The river rises near the border with Ticino and is surrounded by up tp 3100m high mountains. The river flows through the Val Lumnezia. In Suraua, the Vals Rhine flows into the Glenner. After a few more kilometers, the Glenner flows into the Vorderrhein at Ilanz.
Val Curciusa
The Val Curciusa is an alpine valley in Graubünden, Switzerland. In the region of the San Bernardino Pass, it provides a connection between the Rheinwald valley and the Misox valley.
Valser Rhine
The Valser Rhine is a source of the river Rhine in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The river originates from the Länta glacier and the Grauhorn glacier at the northern foot of the Rheinwaldhorn and initially flows through the Länta valley before it flows into the Zervreilasee reservoir. Before the construction of the reservoir, the brooks Hornbach and Canalbach would flow into Valser Rhine from the right at the village of Zervreila.
Val Vignun
The Val Vignun is an alpine valley in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden. It also forms a connection netween the Misox valley and the Rheinwald valley, parallel to the San Bernardino Pass. Val Vignun stretches in a northeasterly direction from San Bernardino towards the Val Curciusa, which is a side valley of the Rheinwald. It is about 5 kilometers long and is drained by the Ri de Fontanalba, which flows into the Moesa near San Bernardino.
Rabiusa
The Rabiusa (Romansh: Rabiosa, i.e. "Raging", in the local German dialect Rii, i.e. "Rhine") is a 32 km long tributary of the Rhine. The river originates in the district Hinterrhein in the canton of Graubünden, in the mountains surrounding the Bärenhorn (2929 m), where the old bridle path from Safien to Splügen crosses the Safierberg Pass (2486 m). It then flows through the wooded Safien valley and into the rough Versam Gorge, where it is spanned by the Versam Gorge Bridge.
