Second Battle of Zurich
The Second Battle of Zurich (25–26 September 1799) was a key victory by the Republican French army in Switzerland led by André Masséna over an Austrian and Russian force commanded by Alexander Korsakov near Zurich. It broke the stalemate that had resulted from the First Battle of Zurich three months earlier and led to the withdrawal of Russia from the Second Coalition. Most of the fighting took place on both banks of the river Limmat up to the gates of Zurich, and within the city itself.
First Battle of Zurich
The Helvetic Republic in 1798 became a battlefield of the French Revolutionary Wars. In the First Battle of Zurich on 4 – 7 June 1799, French general André Masséna was forced to yield the city to the Austrians under Archduke Charles and retreat beyond the Limmat, where he managed to fortify his positions, resulting in a stalemate.
Zürich Stadelhofen railway station
Zürich Stadelhofen is an important local railway station in the city of Zurich, on the Zürich-Rapperswil, Zürich-Winterthur, Zürich-Uster lines of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). It is also the terminus of the Forchbahn (FB) suburban railway and is served by several lines of the Zurich tram network. Stadelhofen lies close to the Zurich Opera House and near Bellevue Square. It is in the southeastern part of the city and is close to Lake Zürich, on its north-eastern shore.
Blindekuh (restaurant)
blindekuh are two restaurants where patrons are served in the dark. The restaurants are located in Basel and Zürich, Switzerland. The name is derived from "Blinde Kuh" (blind cow), the German name for Blind man's bluff. No lights are allowed inside a blindekuh. Patrons are served by blind and visually impaired people. Both locations offer cultural events such as readings or concerts in the dark. The dark restaurants are a project of the Blind-Liecht foundation.

History of Zurich
Zurich was continuously inhabited since Roman times. The name Zurich is possibly derived from the Celtic dur (water). It is first mentioned in 807 under the form Turigus, then in 853 as Turegus. The Latinized form is Turicum, but the false form Tigurum was given currency by Glareanus and held its ground from 1512 to 1748.

The Kantonsschule Rämibühl at the Rämistrasse in Zurich, founded in 1832 as "Oberrealschule" consists of four Kantonsschulen (high schools) with different curricular profiles. The four schools, which are attended by more than 2000 students in total, are the Literargymnasium, the Realgymnasium, the Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliches Gymnasium and the Kunst- und Sportgymnasium Rämibühl.
Schauspielhaus Zürich
The Schauspielhaus Zürich (English: Zürich playhouse) is one of the most prominent and important theatres in the German-speaking world. It is also known as "Pfauenbühne" (Pfauen Stage). The large theatre has 750 seats. The Schauspielhaus also operates three stages in the Schiffbau in the western part of Zurich, the Schiffbau/Halle (400 seats), the Schiffbau/Box (up to 200 seats) and the Schiffbau/Matchbox (80 seats).

Zürich Tiefenbrunnen is a railway station in the Swiss city of Zürich. It is situated on the shore of Lake Zurich, in the Seefeld quarter of the city. The station is located on the Lake Zurich right bank railway line and is served by lines S6 and S16 of the Zürich S-Bahn, both lines being operated by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
Burghölzli
Burghölzli is the common name given for the psychiatric hospital of the University of Zürich, Switzerland. The hospital is located on "Burghölzli", a wooded hill in the district of Riesbach of southeastern Zürich. The history of the hospital began in the early 1860s, when internist Wilhelm Griesinger at the University of Zurich made plans for the creation of a modern psychiatric clinic for humane treatment of the mentally ill.

Hirslanden is a quarter in the district 7 in Zurich. It was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zurich in 1893. The quarter has a population of 6,859 distributed on an area of 2.2 km². Hirslanden is located on the western side of the Adlisberg.

Mahmood Mosque, Zurich
The Mahmood Mosque situated in Forchstrasse, Zurich is the first purpose-built mosque in Switzerland owned and run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It has a minaret, the new construction of which is now banned in Switzerland by popular vote. The foundation stone was laid on 25 August 1962 by Amatul Hafiz Begum, daughter of the founder of Ahmadiyya-Movement, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.

The museum also maintains a workshop at the much smaller former tram depot of Wartau on tram route 13 in the Höngg quarter.
Botanical Garden of the University of Zurich
The Botanical Garden of the University of Zurich is a botanical garden in the Swiss city of Zurich. It was opened in 1977 and is located at Zollikerstrasse in the Weinegg quarter of the city. The garden should not be mistaken for the Old Botanical Garden, located on the former zur Katz bastion in the city centre, which is also owned by the University of Zurich.
