Albis
The Albis is a chain of hills in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland, stretching for some 19 km from Sihlbrugg in the south to Waldegg near Zurich in the north. The chain forms, among others, the border between the Affoltern and Horgen districts. The best known point is Uetliberg at 870 m, overlooking the city of Zurich. Other points of interest include the Albishorn (909m. ) the Bürglen (also known as Bürglenstutz, the highest peak, 914.6m.

Knabenschiessen
Knabenschiessen is a traditional target shooting competition in Zürich. held on the second weekend of September each year. The festival, officially held for the first time in 1889, is one of the oldest in Switzerland, dating back to the 17th century. The competition is open to 13-17 year olds, who either reside or are enrolled in a school in the canton of Zürich. Originally reserved for boys (Knaben), the competition has been open to female participants since 1991.

In summer season (March–October), Felseneggbahn is operating daily from 08:05 (am) to 21:50 (10 pm), even on Sundays and public holidays.

This building was named after the two Nanotech-Pioneers and Nobelaureates Gerd Binnig and Heinrich Rohrer, who invented the Scanning Tunneling Microscope in the year 1986 in the Zurich Research Laboratory next to the Nano-Center. The Binnig and Rohrer Nanotechnology Center is specialized on Basic Research but also in photonics and nanotechnology.

Manegg Castle
The ruins of castle Manegg is situated on the eastern slopes of the Albis range in the canton of Zurich, near Leimbach. The castle was in existence by 1303. It was the family seat of the house of Manesse. It is unclear whether the family is named for the castle or vice versa. The family's name is best known as being eponymous of the Codex Manesse, patronized by Rüdiger II Manesse (b. before 1252, d. after 1304), the most important single source of medieval Minnesang poetry.

Rote Fabrik
Rote Fabrik (Red Factory) is a former factory in Zurich-Wollishofen, which is now used as a music venue and cultural center. It is so named because the buildings are made of red brick, but sometimes also because left-wing parties campaign at the location.
