Saane/Sarine
Saane or Sarine is one of the largest rivers in Switzerland. It is 128 km long and has a drainage area of 1,892 km². It is a tributary of the river Aar. The source is at the foot of the Sanetschhorn, in the western part of the Bernese Oberland.

Bernese Jura is the name for the French-speaking area of the Swiss canton of Bern, and from 2010 one of five administrative divisions of the canton. Biel/Bienne District was a district (Amtsbezirk) in the canton of Bern in Switzerland with its seat Biel/Bienne. It was bi-lingual (41% French and 59% German) and included two municipalities in an area of 25 km²: It is now part of the administrative district of Biel/Bienne.
Nidau District
Nidau District was one of the 26 administrative districts in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. Its capital was the municipality of Nidau. Although the district is officially German speaking, a small French speaking minority lives in the area. The district has an area of 113 km² and consisted of 25 municipalities:

Portmoos is a place in Canton of Berne. It belongs to the village Port, but is on the other side of the Aare. The Post is delivered by the post office in Nidau, so it got given the name Portmoos. Helmstrasse is the poshest street in the whole of Port. Although it is on the other side of the river, it is one of the most expensive places in the region to live.

Lobsigensee
Lobsigensee is a lake at Lobsigen in the municipality of Seedorf, Berne, Switzerland. Its surface area is 1.73 ha. On the northwestern shore there are remains of a neolithic settlement which is now part of the Prehistoric Pile dwellings around the Alps, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Lobsigensee UNESCO site is located on the south-western shore of the lake of the same name. Based on several finds, the site has been dated to the second half of the 4th millennium BC.

Trams in Biel/Bienne
The Biel/Bienne tramway network (Alemannic German: Strassenbahnnetz Biel; French: Réseau tramway de Bienne) was part of the public transport network of the bilingual city of Biel/Bienne, in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, and its environs for more than 70 years. Opened in 1877, the network operated as a horsecar tramway (Rösslitram) until 1902, when it was electrified and converted from sg standard gauge to 1 metre gauge.
