Kungälv Municipality
Kungälv Municipality (Kungälvs kommun) is a municipality in Västra Götaland County in western Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Kungälv. The present municipality was formed in 1971 through the amalgamation of the City of Kungälv, the City of Marstrand and territories belonging to four rural municipalities. In 1974 a minor part was transferred to Gothenburg Municipality.
Bohus Fortress
Bohus Fortress lies along the old Norwegian - Swedish border in Kungälv, Bohuslän, Sweden, north east from Hisingen where the Göta river splits into two branches (20 kilometres north of Gothenburg). It commands its surroundings from a cliff 40 metres high, with the river forming a natural moat around it.
Kortedala
Kortedala is a district, mainly residential (apartment housing), in the north-eastern part of Gothenburg in western Sweden. The area houses a population of around 10,000 inhabitants and is one of the typical 1950s suburbs of Gothenburg. The area is very lush and green with many trees and parks. Kortedala also has Gothenburg's largest ice-skating rink named, Isdala, and a big sports centre named Alelyckan. There are four local squares, three smaller ones and the bigger Kortedala Torg.
Nils Ericson Terminal
The Nils Ericson Terminal is a major bus terminus in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is placed in the city centre just next to Gothenburg Central Station (Centralstationen), and across the street from the main Nordstan shopping centre. The main street and most hotels are within walking distance from the terminal. The terminal serves the entire Västra Götaland County with bus traffic.
Metaltown Festival
The Metaltown Festival is a two day festival featuring heavy metal music bands, held in Gothenburg, Sweden. It has been arranged annually since 2004, taking place at the Frihamnen venue. The 2011 edition of the festival took place on June 17–18, 2011 at the new venue Göteborg Galopp close to Gothenburg City Airport.
Angered
Angered is a suburb in Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden. Angered is the biggest Million Programme area in Gothenburg, and one of the biggest in the country with 40,000 inhabitants. The hilly terrain forced the planners to build the different parts of Angered at some distance from each other. Angered is a multicultural community with a high immigrant population. It has a high unemployment rate.
Viking (barque)
The Viking (better known by the ship type as a prefix, Barken Viking) is a four-masted steel barque, built in 1906 by Burmeister & Wain in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is reported to be the biggest sailing ship ever built in Scandinavia.
Lärjedalen

Gothenburg discothèque fire
The Gothenburg discothèque fire was a fire with disastrous consequences that occurred on the night of October 29, 1998. The fire started on premises rented by an organization catering to the Macedonian community in Gothenburg, located on Hisingen island in Gothenburg, Sweden, where a discothèque had been arranged that night. There were 375 youths, aged 12–25 years, on the premises, which were rated by the fire department as capable of holding 150 persons.

Vidkärr
Vidkärr is a district in Gothenburg, Sweden which belongs to Härlanda borough. The district is demarcated by the districts Strömmensberg to the west, Torpa to the east, Kålltorp to the south (by Torpagatan) and by the road E20 to the north. Vidkärr is quite commonly referred to as Munkebäck. The commuter train between Gothenburg and Alingsås stops here at Sävenäs. Here you can find Torpavallen, the home arena of the football team Qviding FIF.
Bagaregården
Bagaregården is a district in Gothenburg, Sweden which belongs to Örgryte borough. Most parts of the district were designed by town planner Albert Lilienberg. He was inspired by the Austrian architect Camillo Sitte. There are many Landshövdingehus in the area. The term "bagaregård" (the indefinite form of "bagaregården") translates into "baker´s estate". Close to Bagaregården lie the remains of a medieval church, Härlanda Church Ruins. It was torn down by request from Gustavus I of Sweden.

Torpa is an officially defined district in Gothenburg, Sweden which belongs to Härlanda borough. It consists of the traditional districts Torpa and Fräntorp. The district consists mostly of apartment blocks built in the 1940s designed by architect Nils Einar Eriksson.

Bellevue Mosque
The Bellevue Mosque is the largest mosque in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located at Generalsgatan 2A in the "Bellevue"-district of Gothenburg. The mosque is administered by the Somali-dominated Islamic Sunni Centre Denomination (Swedish: Islamiska Sunnicentret Trossamfund, ISC) and advocates the Salafi movement of Islam. The mosque has been in the focus of media several times for its alleged ties to various Islamist and terrorist-designated organizations.
Tingstadstunneln
Tingstadstunneln is a motorway tunnel under the Göta Älv, connecting Hisingen with mainland Gothenburg. The tunnel was constructed with two parallel immersed tubes with three lanes of traffic in each tube. It is part of the E6 route linking Norway with south-west Sweden. Construction started on January 17, 1961, and the tunnel was inaugurated at 11:30 am on March 29, 1968. The tunnel has the lowest motorway elevation in Sweden, at 15 meters below sea level.
Tuve landslide
The Tuve landslide was a large landslide in Tuve, Gothenburg, Sweden on November 30, 1977. Some 67 houses were destroyed, killing 9, injuring about 60 and making around 600 people homeless. The slide began at 16.05 and lasted 5–6 minutes. The slide affected 270 000 square meters (27 hectares). About 600 people lived in the area; of these, approximately 200 were in the area at the time of the slide. About 100 needed help by rescue workers.
Härlanda Church Ruins
Härlanda Church Ruins are the remains of a medieval church in Gothenburg, Sweden close to the picturesque housing area Bagaregården. The church was built in the first part of the 12th century and torn down in 1528 by request from Gustavus I, King of Sweden to build a new church in Nya Lödöse, the precursor of Gothenburg which was founded in 1621.

Tuve Church
The Tuve Church is a medieval church in Gothenburg, western Sweden. It is located on the Hisingen island, in the Tuve district. It is a Romanesque stone church, consisting of a rectangular nave and a narrow choir. This simple shape was typical of churches in Västergötland. The oldest parts of the building were probably erected in the 12th century. The two buttresses were added in the 18th century, and the porch in 1745. The sacristy, built in 1953, is the most recent addition.
Östra kyrkogården, Gothenburg
Östra kyrkogården is a cemetery in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located in the parish of Örgryte, in the Diocese of Gothenburg. With its area of 25.3 hectares, and its nearly 18,000 graves, it is the third largest graveyard in the city. Including the urns, it is estimated to be the resting place of 150,000 people. The cemetery houses the graves of many notable citizens of Gothenburg, whose work and donations helped shape the city. Many of their tombstones and monuments are stately works of art.
Säve Church
The Säve Church is a medieval church in Gothenburg. It is located on the Hisingen island and belongs to the parish of Tuve-Säve. It belonged to the Säve parish until 2010, when the parishes of Tuve, Säve and Rödbo were merged. The church was erected in the early 13th century. It was first known as St. Olaf Church, after the saintly king Olaf II of Norway. The nave has a barrel vault, built in 1696. In 1704, the ceiling was covered with paintings by German artist Christian von Schönfeldt.
Göta älvbron
Göta älvbron is a bridge located in Gothenburg, Sweden, carrying normal road vehicles and trams. The bridge was constructed in 1937 to 1939 and in 1966 it was widened. Constructed of steel beam, the bridge has a total length is 927 meters and width of 20 meters. The mid span has a free height of 19.5 meters.
