Liseberg
Liseberg is an amusement park located in Gothenburg, Sweden that opened in 1923. Liseberg is one of the most visited amusement parks in Scandinavia, attracting about 3 million visitors annually. Among the noteworthy attractions is the wooden roller coaster Balder, voted twice (2003 and 2005) as the Best Wooden Tracked Roller Coaster in the world in a major international poll. The park itself has also been chosen as one of the top ten amusement parks in the world (2005) by Forbes Magazine.
Scandinavium
Scandinavium is the primary indoor sports and event arena in Gothenburg, Sweden. Construction on Scandinavium began in 1969 after decades of setbacks, the arena was built in time for the 350th year anniversary celebration of the City of Gothenburg and was inaugurated on 18 May 1971.
Ullevi
Ullevi is a stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. The stadium was built for the 1958 FIFA World Cup, but since then Ullevi has also hosted the 1995 World Championships in Athletics and the 2006 European Championships in Athletics, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup finals in 1983 and 1990, the UEFA Euro 1992 final, the UEFA Cup final in 2004, and annually hosted the opening ceremony of the Gothia Cup—the world's largest football tournament.

Gamla Ullevi meaning Old Ullevi (named Ullevi until 1958 when Nya Ullevi was built) was a football stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was built in 1915-1916 and opened on 17 September 1916 with the game between IFK Göteborg-AB København (2-2). (Öhnander 2002, p. 6) It had a capacity of 15,000 to 18,000, depending on usage. Universeum
Universeum is a public science centre in Gothenburg, Sweden that opened in 2001. It is a part of Evenemangsstråket, the thoroughfare of events – close to Korsvägen and Skånegatan – which includes sights of interest like Scandinavium, Ullevi, Svenska Mässan (Swedish Exhibition Centre), Liseberg and the Museum of World Culture. The Universeum is divided into six sections, each containing experiment workshops and a collection of reptiles, fish and insects.
Museum of World Culture
The national Museum of World Culture opened in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2004. Its aim is to interpret the subject of world culture in an interdisciplinary way. The museum is situated next to the Universeum Science Centre and the amusement park Liseberg and close to Korsvägen. "The museum interprets the concept of world culture in a dynamic and open-ended manner. On the one hand, various cultures are incorporating impulses from each other and becoming more alike.
Gothenburg Museum of Art
The Göteborg Museum of Art at Götaplatsen, Gothenburg, is renowned for its collection of Nordic art from around the close of the 19th century. A must see is the lavishly decorated Fürstenberg Gallery, named after a leading Gothenburg art donor, Pontus Fürstenberg and his wife Göthilda. Among the artists showcased one can mention Carl Larsson, Anders Zorn, and P.S. Kröyer. The museum also houses older and contemporary art, both Nordic and international.
Götaplatsen
Götaplatsen is a public square in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the southern end of Kungsportsavenyn (The King's Gate Avenue), the city's main street. The square was inaugurated when Gothenburg held a major international industrial exhibition, 1923, celebrating the city's 300th anniversary. Götaplatsen is Gothenburg's cultural hub, enclosed by the Gothenburg Concert Hall (where the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra resides), the Gothenburg Museum of Art, the Gothenburg City Theatre and the City Library.
Korsvägen
Korsvägen (literary ”The Cross Road”) is a public square, traffic junction and public transport hub close to Universeum, The Swedish Fair, The Museum of World Culture and the amusement park Liseberg in Gothenburg, Sweden. A major armament of the square/junction was made in the 1990s. Korsvägen is the hub of popular culture and events in Gothenburg in the same way as Götaplatsen is the cultural hub.
Gothenburg City Theatre
Gothenburg City Theatre opened in 1934 at Götaplatsen square in Gothenburg, Sweden. The theatre was drawn by Carl Bergsten who gave the exterior a Neo-Classical look with a touch of Streamline Moderne. The critics thought it to be a too old-fashioned building – the International Style had had a big breakthrough some years before at the 1930 Stockholm Exhibition. But the interiors of the building pleased the reviewers who thought the auditorium to be "intimate" and “democratic”.
Balder (roller coaster)
Balder is a wooden roller coaster at the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden. It opened in 2003 and was an instant success. Balder has twice, 2003 and 2005, been voted Best Wooden Tracked Roller Coaster in the world in a major international poll - not because it is the biggest or fastest roller coaster, but because of the high percentage of "air time" during the ride. Balder is very different from a traditional wooden roller coaster because it is a prefabricated wooden roller coaster.
Örgryte
Örgryte is one of the 21 stadsdelsnämndsområden (a kind of district often translated as borough) of Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden. It is a largely upper middle class residential area, just to the east of the city centre. It has a population of 33,539 (2004), and covers an area of 10.67 square kilometres.
Lisebergbanan
Lisebergbanan is a steel roller coaster at the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden. It opened in 1987. When Anton Schwarzkopf's company went bankrupt, Schwarzkopf worked with the Zierer company to produce several roller coasters. Lisebergbanan was the first of these rides, and it has been said that this was Schwarzkopf's favorite roller coaster. The ride's name literally means "Liseberg rail line" and the station is themed to a railway station.
Valhalla Swimming Hall
Valhalla Swimming Hall is a swimming hall located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Valhalla was officially opened on December 6, 1956, by Gothenburg's municipal commissioner Torsten Henriksson. Valhalla was designed by Nils Olsson, the design was awarded with a bronze medal at the Olympics in architecture in 1948. The work was completed by Gustav Samuelsson in 1956 after Olsson's death. Upon completion at 67 000 m³, Valhalla was the biggest and most modern swimming facility in Sweden.
Gårda Business Center
Gårda Business Center, also known as the Canon building is a high-rise office building in the Gårda district in Gothenburg. The 17-floor, 59 meters (195 feet) high building was completed in 1989. The building is the 28th tallest building in Sweden.
Kanonen
Kanonen ("the cannon") is a steel roller coaster located at Liseberg in Sweden. The ride, built by Intamin, features a hydraulic launch and opened in 2005. The tightly packed layout is a result of the lack of space available to build upon at Liseberg.
Svenska Mässan
& Congress Centre and Gothia Towers, next to Liseberg]] Svenska Mässan or, in English, the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre is an exhibition and convention centre in Gothenburg, Sweden and is one of Scandinavia's biggest assembly points which attracts around one million visitors every year. It is owned and run by a non-profit foundation. In March 2011, it was reported that a third tower rising 100 meters will be built and finished by 2014.
Valhalla IP
Valhalla IP is a stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden which is home to several teams, for both Damallsvenskan and Superettan, Örgryte IS, Qviding FIF and the ladies team Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC. The stadium is situated close the river Mölndalsån and Burgårdsparken of the town and is named after the Valhalla (Old Norse Valhöll, "Hall of the Slain") is Odin's hall in Norse mythology. The capacity of the stadium is 4000, where 1200 are seated. Valhalla IP had an artificial pitch added in October 2006.
Liseberg railway station
The Liseberg station is an underground railway station in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is named after the amusement park Liseberg which is located nearby. The station was completed in 1993. Local trains to and from Kungsbacka and Borås stop at the station. The nearest stops for local traffic are the tram stop Liseberg 200 metres west, and the major intersection Korsvägen, 500 metres west.

SF Filmstaden Bergakungen (English: Mountain King Film City) is a cineplex located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Bergakungen has 14 cinemas with a total capacity of 2,260 visitors. The cinema has Sweden's two largest projection screens, measuring 18 × 8 meters (59 × 26 ft) each. Bergakungen also has a VIP cinema. Before the film starts you wait in the lounge with an open bar. The VIP cinema has more comfortable seats.
