Chalmers Lindholmen University College
The Chalmers Lindholmen University College or Chalmers Lindholmen was a university college, and an affiliate of Chalmers University of Technology, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. The campus is located at Lindholmen on the island Hisingen. As of 2005 Chalmers Lindholmen no longer exists as a separate organisation. Campus Lindholmen is now one of Chalmers' two campuses.

Götheborg (ship)
Götheborg is a sailing replica of an 18th century Swedish East Indiaman. It is the world's largest operational wooden sailing vessel. The original sank off Gothenburg, Sweden on 12 September 1745 while approaching its home harbour after returning from her third voyage to China. All sailors survived, but the ship was lost. The built of the replica started in 1995. The hull was launched in 2003, and the rig was fully tested for the first time in 2005.
Majorna (district)
Majorna is a residential area in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is a part of the borough Majorna-Linné. It is located west of the city just outside the city centre, with Göta älv to the north, Masthugget and Slottsskogen to the east, Högsbo to the south and Älvsborg to the west. Majorna is an old area, originating from the times of Älvsborg castle before the foundation of Gothenburg in 1621. After the foundation of the city of Gothenburg, Majorna housed wharfs and other harbour-related business.
Masthugget Church
Masthugget Church in Gothenburg, Sweden, was built in 1914. Its position on a high hill (Masthugget) close to the city and near the Göta älv (Göta river) makes it a striking sight – the church tower is 60 meters high in itself. The church represents the national romantic style in Nordic architecture and was drawn by Sigfrid Ericson. The church, which has become one of the symbols of Gothenburg, is a popular tourist attraction.
Oscar Fredrik Church
Oscar Fredrik Church is a church in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was drawn by Helgo Zetterwall and erected in the 1890s. The style is Neo Gothic, but the influence is not the Nordic gothic style but rather the style one can find in the large cathedrals down in continental Europe. The church and the parish got its name from king Oscar II (Oscar Fredrik being his full name).
Rambergsvallen
Ramsbergvallen is a multi-use stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of BK Häcken. The stadium holds 7,000 people and was opened August 18, 1935.
Älvsborg Bridge
The Älvsborg Bridge is a suspension bridge over Göta älv in Gothenburg, Sweden, which connects the north and the south part of the city. It was built in 1966 and designed by Sven Olof Asplund. The total length of the bridge is 933 metres and distance between the towers ("main span") is 417 metres, while the clearance below the bridge is 45 metres. The pylons are 107 metres tall making the bridge one of Gothenburg's most prominent landmarks.
Gothenburg discothèque fire
The Gothenburg discothèque fire was a fire with disastrous consequences that occurred on the night of October 29, 1998. The fire started on premises rented by an organization catering to the Macedonian community in Gothenburg, located on Hisingen island in Gothenburg, Sweden, where a discothèque had been arranged that night. There were 375 youths, aged 12–25 years, on the premises, which were rated by the fire department as capable of holding 150 persons.

Frölundaborg
Frölundaborg, also known as Campus Frölunda, is an indoor arena, in Gothenburg, Sweden, mostly used for ice hockey. It has a capacity of 7,600 people. The attendance record is 10,244, set in 1970. It has been used, for example, when the main arena, Scandinavium, has been busy with other activities. This has been the case several times at unplanned matches, like when Frölunda HC played the Swedish Championship finals. Frölundaborg cost 6.3 million SEK to build in 1967.

It is located west of Haga and is the starting point for the street of Linnégatan to the south, the avenue of Nya Allén to the east, the streets of Första Långgatan (home of Tiny Studio) and Andra Långgatan to the west. Järntorget is the traditional grounds of the labour movement with ABF, Folkteatern and Folkets hus also located hare.
Viktoria Institute
The Viktoria Institute is a research institute for applied information technology, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. It employs some 30 researchers, plus some doctoral students and administrative staff, and comprises four research groups: automotive public safety transport FAL — Future Applications Lab In addition, seminars and other research dissemination activities are conducted to a wider audience and the public.

Backa Theatre (Backa Teater in Swedish) is a theatre and theatre company in Gothenburg, Sweden, specialized in youth and children theatre. When it started in 1970's it was touring company, but after some years it settled in an old bolt factory which was renovated. Backa theatre has a good reputation in Sweden and has been named national youth theatre by the Swedish government.
Eriksberg, Gothenburg
Eriksberg is an area on Hisingen in Gothenburg where Eriksbergs Mekaniska Verkstads AB had their shipyard until bankruptcy in 1979. For over a century the area was dominated by shipbuilding but a crisis in the 1970s destroyed the industry. Since the collapse of the shipyards, the area has been rebuilt into Gothenburg's finest modern neighbourhood. The former machinery buildings have been renovated into a hotel with conference facilities.

Nordiska högskolan för folkhälsovetenskap (NHV) is a shared northern educational institution in Gothenburg, Sweden, who educates health personnel on Master's and Doctorate level in addition to doing bigger research work. They are financed through the Swedish Département of Health and Social Security and the Nordic Council. NHV was founded in 1953, started its programmes on Master's level in 1978 and on doctorate level in 1987.

Lundby, Gothenburg
Lundby is a suburb and borough of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located in the central part of the Hisingen island, stretching along the northern shore of the Göta River. It is the original home of the dollhouse manufacturing company Lundby and the home of Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta. There were 38 000 people residing in Lundby (on 1 January 2009) but it is expected to expand by many thousands over the coming years.
Andra långgatan
Andra långgatan (Second Long Street) is a street in Gothenburg, Sweden. It starts west of Haga at Järntorget and ends at Masthuggstorget. The street is renowned for its many restaurants, bars, galleries and record shops. Although the street has a dodgy past its reputation has now been redeemed. It is now a "magnet for creative types" according to Lonely planet. The tourists have yet to find this street but alternative Gothenburgians love the street for its "authenticity".
Lundby Old Church
The Lundby Old Church is a church in Lundby, a borough of Gothenburg, Sweden. It belongs to the parish of Lundby in the Diocese of Gothenburg. It is one of the seven preserved medieval churches in Gothenburg, and the only one of them representing Gothic architecture. It originates from the 14th century, but the bell tower had not been erected until 1634. The church has been renovated many times, most recently in 1998.
Rya Forest
The Rya Forest is a nature reserve in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located on the Hisingen island, on the northern bank of the Göta River. It has an area of 17 hectares. Established in 1928, it is the oldest nature reserve in Västra Götaland County. The reserve lies in the middle of a busy industrial area, close to oil refineries and the Ryaverket sewage treatment plan. In spite of that, it displays a diverse flora and fauna, typical for a marsh forest, alder being the most common tree.
Ramberget
Ramberget is a mountain on Hisingen island in Gothenburg, Sweden. The surrounding area and park is called Keillers Park. Ramberget is a popular tourist attraction and a place for outdoor recreation for Gothenburg residents, with walking paths, lookouts over the city of Gothenburg and artworks. Ramberget is with its highest point 87 metres (282 ft) above sea level, with a lower second point called Ättestupan. There is a road for cars going to the top of Ramberget. The park is about 31 hectares.
The Gothenburg Mosque
'The Gothenburg Mosque was inaugurated June 16th 2011 and is located at the foot of Ramberget on Hisingen in Gothenburg. The mosque is funded by Saudi Arabia and run by the Swedish Muslim Foundation (SMS). The mosque cost 67 million Swedish krona to build and is 2000 square meters.
