Chalmers Lindholmen University College
The Chalmers Lindholmen University College or Chalmers Lindholmen was a university college, and an affiliate of Chalmers University of Technology, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. The campus is located at Lindholmen on the island Hisingen. As of 2005 Chalmers Lindholmen no longer exists as a separate organisation. Campus Lindholmen is now one of Chalmers' two campuses.

Nordstan (English: North town) is a shopping centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is the largest shopping centre in Scandinavia, with approximately 180 shops and 150 offices. The shopping centre's total area is about 320,000 square metres divided into nine interconnected buildings, where retail and restaurant floor space makes up around 70,000 square metres. The covered streets and squares comprise 8,000 square metres.
HSwMS Småland (J19)
HMS Småland (J19) is a Swedish Halland-class destroyer. She and HMS Halland were the only ones built of their class. Two more ships were ordered but they were never completed. She was decommissioned in 1979, and since 1987 has been a museum ship in the Gothenburg maritime center where she is the largest vessel on display.
Nils Ericson Terminal
The Nils Ericson Terminal is a major bus terminus in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is placed in the city centre just next to Gothenburg Central Station (Centralstationen), and across the street from the main Nordstan shopping centre. The main street and most hotels are within walking distance from the terminal. The terminal serves the entire Västra Götaland County with bus traffic.
Metaltown Festival
The Metaltown Festival is a two day festival featuring heavy metal music bands, held in Gothenburg, Sweden. It has been arranged annually since 2004, taking place at the Frihamnen venue. The 2011 edition of the festival took place on June 17–18, 2011 at the new venue Göteborg Galopp close to Gothenburg City Airport.
Viking (barque)
The Viking (better known by the ship type as a prefix, Barken Viking) is a four-masted steel barque, built in 1906 by Burmeister & Wain in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is reported to be the biggest sailing ship ever built in Scandinavia.
City Museum of Gothenburg
The City Museum of Gothenburg is located in an 18th century house originally built for the Swedish East India Company in the city centre of Gothenburg, Sweden. The museum itself was created in 1861 with the British Victoria and Albert Museum as model. The City Museum is a Cultural History museum and displays Gothenburg and West Sweden’s history from the Viking Age to present day.
Rambergsvallen
Ramsbergvallen is a multi-use stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of BK Häcken. The stadium holds 7,000 people and was opened August 18, 1935.
Gothenburg discothèque fire
The Gothenburg discothèque fire was a fire with disastrous consequences that occurred on the night of October 29, 1998. The fire started on premises rented by an organization catering to the Macedonian community in Gothenburg, located on Hisingen island in Gothenburg, Sweden, where a discothèque had been arranged that night. There were 375 youths, aged 12–25 years, on the premises, which were rated by the fire department as capable of holding 150 persons.

The Viktoria Institute is a research institute for applied information technology, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. It employs some 30 researchers, plus some doctoral students and administrative staff, and comprises four research groups: automotive public safety transport FAL — Future Applications Lab In addition, seminars and other research dissemination activities are conducted to a wider audience and the public.
Backa Theatre
Backa Theatre (Backa Teater in Swedish) is a theatre and theatre company in Gothenburg, Sweden, specialized in youth and children theatre. When it started in 1970's it was touring company, but after some years it settled in an old bolt factory which was renovated. Backa theatre has a good reputation in Sweden and has been named national youth theatre by the Swedish government.
Götatunneln
The Götatunneln (Göta Tunnel) is a road tunnel under the inner city of Gothenburg in Sweden. It is 1,600 metres long. Construction began 2000 and it was opened for traffic June 2006. The tunnel is separated in two tubes, each carrying three lanes of traffic. The cost including road connection was 3 billion SEK.
Gustaf Adolfs torg, Göteborg
Gustaf Adolf's square is a located in central Gothenburg, Sweden. It was named Stortorget (the Big square) until 1854 when a statue was raised over the founding father of Gothenburg, king Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden. Surrounding the square you can find Gothenburg City Hall (the former stock exchange building), the law court, and the main canal of Gothenburg.
Gothenburg City Hall
The Gothenburg City Hall, also known as the Stock Exchange, is a building in Gothenburg, at the north side of the Gustaf Adolf Square. The building was designed by architect Pehr Johan Ekman and opened on December 1, 1849. Following the consolidation of stock trading to the Stockholm Stock Exchange, the building housed the municipal offices of the City of Gothenburg. The City Council has conducted its meetings there since January 5, 1863.
HSwMS Sölve
HMS Sölve is a monitor warship, built in 1875 at the Motala Warf in Norrköping, Sweden, by John Ericsson and J. C. A. d'Ailly. It is one of the few monitors still in existence, and is currently moored at the Maritiman marine museum in Gothenburg, Sweden. The vessel was one of the last of the 15 Swedish monitors to be built for use by the Swedish Navy, and was named for Sölve, a semi-legendary King of Sweden. In 1919 the ship was placed on the sale list.
Lindholmen Science Park
Lindholmen Science Park is a science park dedicated to research and development in mobile communication, intelligent vehicles and transports systems, and modern media industry, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg, and the IT University of Göteborg collaborate with high tech industries and the local community in different development projects.
Tuve landslide
The Tuve landslide was a large landslide in Tuve, Gothenburg, Sweden on November 30, 1977. Some 67 houses were destroyed, killing 9, injuring about 60 and making around 600 people homeless. The slide began at 16.05 and lasted 5–6 minutes. The slide affected 270 000 square meters (27 hectares). About 600 people lived in the area; of these, approximately 200 were in the area at the time of the slide. About 100 needed help by rescue workers.
Fladen
The Lightship No. 29 FLADEN is a lightvessel built in 1915 and now a museum ship moored at the Maritiman Marine Museum in Gothenburg, Sweden. She was stationed in the Baltic Sea at Hävringe and later at Öland bank. She was then moved to Fladen bank in 1966. She was replaced in 1969 by an anchored buoy.
Göteborg City Race
The Göteborg City Race is a temporary motor racing circuit in Gothenburg, Sweden. The circuit is located in the city centre on part of docklands called Frihamnspiren, which is usually used as a concert venue. The spectator capacity for the venue is 30,000. The venue for the race weekends is known as "Eco Drive Arena", with all cars running on environmentally classed fuel.
Gothenburg stave church
The stave church of Gothenburg, was Gothenburg's first church building and one of its first buildings constructed since its city plan was drawn up. Completed in 1621 on one of the city's first five blocks, bounded by the streets Kungsgatan, Västra Hamngatan, Kyrkogatan and Korsgatan, the stave church stood on the same plot now occupied by Gothenburg Cathedral. The church was intended from the outset to be temporary.
Göta älvbron
Göta älvbron is a bridge located in Gothenburg, Sweden, carrying normal road vehicles and trams. The bridge was constructed in 1937 to 1939 and in 1966 it was widened. Constructed of steel beam, the bridge has a total length is 927 meters and width of 20 meters. The mid span has a free height of 19.5 meters.
Ramberget
Ramberget is a mountain on Hisingen island in Gothenburg, Sweden. The surrounding area and park is called Keillers Park. Ramberget is a popular tourist attraction and a place for outdoor recreation for Gothenburg residents, with walking paths, lookouts over the city of Gothenburg and artworks. Ramberget is with its highest point 87 metres (282 ft) above sea level, with a lower second point called Ättestupan. There is a road for cars going to the top of Ramberget. The park is about 31 hectares.
The Gothenburg Mosque
'The Gothenburg Mosque was inaugurated June 16th 2011 and is located at the foot of Ramberget on Hisingen in Gothenburg. The mosque is funded by Saudi Arabia and run by the Swedish Muslim Foundation (SMS). The mosque cost 67 million Swedish krona to build and is 2000 square meters. The construction of the mosque has been met with demonstrations addressing the critique of that the funding comes from a dictatorship. The Saudi finance minister Dr.
