Uppsala County
Uppsala County (Uppsala län) is a county or län on the eastern coast of Sweden. It borders the counties of Stockholm, Södermanland, Västmanland, Gävleborg, and the Baltic Sea.
Uppsala Cathedral
Uppsala Cathedral is a cathedral located centrally in the city of Uppsala, Sweden. It dates back to the late 13th century and at a height of 118.7 m is the tallest church building in Scandinavia. Originally built under Roman Catholicism and used for coronations of the Swedish monarch, since the Protestant Reformation, it has been controlled by the Lutheran Church of Sweden. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Uppsala, the primate of Sweden.
Uppsala Municipality
Uppsala Municipality (Uppsala kommun) is a municipality in Uppsala County in east central Sweden. Uppsala has a population of 200,032 (November 23, 2011). Its seat is located in the university city of Uppsala. Uppsala Municipality was created through amalgamations taking place during the late sixties and the early seventies. There are about thirty original local government units combined in the present municipality. A split took place in 2003, when Knivsta Municipality was formed.

Linnaean Garden
The Linnaean Garden or Linnaeus' Garden is the oldest of the botanical gardens belonging to Uppsala University in Sweden. It has been restored and is kept as an 18th century botanical garden, according to the specifications of Carolus Linnaeus. The garden was originally planned and planted by Olaus Rudbeck, professor of medicine, in 1655. Rudbeck also built the house adjacent to the garden.

Upplandsmuseet
The Upplandsmuseet is the county museum of Uppsala County in Sweden. The institution is responsible for preservation and conducting research in the area of the cultural history and archaeology of the county, including the city of Uppsala (parts of the historical province of Uppland, from which the museum takes its name, belong to Stockholm County). The permanent exhibition covers subjects such as the history of the city, of Uppsala Cathedral, and of student life at Uppsala University.
Gustavianum
Gustavianum is the former main building of Uppsala University, built 1622–1625 and named after King Gustavus Adolphus. Under the cupola is the theatrum anatomicum, the second oldest in the world added to the building in the mid 17th century by Olaus Rudbeck, professor of medicine and amateur architect, among other things.
Uppsala Castle
Uppsala Castle is a 16th century royal castle in the historical city of Uppsala, Sweden. Throughout much of its early history, the castle played a major role in the history of Sweden. Uppsala Castle was built during the time Sweden was on its way to become a great power in Europe. King Gustav Vasa began construction of Uppsala Castle in 1549. Kings Erik XIV, John III and Charles IX all remodeled and expanded the citadel into a representative renaissance palace.
Uppsala Mosque
The Uppsala Mosque is a small but very frequented mosque located in the Kvarngärdet neighbourhood of Uppsala in Sweden. At the time of construction, it was mistakenly claimed to be the northernmost mosque in the world. It is still the northernmost mosque in Sweden, a title soon to be taken over by the Umeå mosque.

Stockholms nation is a student society and one of thirteen nations at Uppsala University. The nation has its origins in the mid-17th century and regards 1649 as its official date of foundation, although this is uncertain.
Vaksalaskolan
Vaksalaskolan is a school in central Uppsala, Sweden. It caters for students from pre-school to the ninth grade. It has approximately 600 students and 30 teachers. The school was built in the mid-1920s, in neoclassical style, and was considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Sweden. It was designed by the architect Gunnar Leche and built by the builder Anders Diös. From time to time, proposals have been made to transform the school into a concert house or administrative building.
Katedralskolan, Uppsala
Katedralskolan (Swedish; "the Cathedral School"; colloquially Katte; formerly Högre Allmänna Läroverket, "Higher-level Public Education") is a school in Uppsala, Sweden. The school was established in 1246. It is the oldest educational institution in Uppsala, and one of the oldest in Sweden.
Östgöta nation (Uppsala)
Östgöta nation or ÖG, as it is called informally, is a student society and one of thirteen nations at Uppsala University. Though Östgöta nation had existed in various forms previously, the nation's constitution was drawn up on 8 November 1646 and that is now considered its official date of creation. The current nation building was completed in 1885 and renovated in 1996. The nation currently has about 2600 members, making it a mid-sized nation.
Norrlands nation
Norrlands nation is a student society and the largest of thirteen nations at Uppsala University. It mainly recruits its members from the province of Norrland, which is the northern-most part of Sweden. As of 2012, the nation has about 8,000 members. The nation is religiously and politically unaffiliated and offers its members access to libraries, housing, scholarships and opportunities to participate in a wide range of sporting, cultural and entertainment activities.
Gotlands nation
Gotlands nation is one of the 13 student nations at Uppsala University. It is named for the island of Gotland, where most of its students come from. The university is primarily known for being one of the smallest of Uppsala's nations, rarely going above 800 members. It is also notably the only nation in Uppsala with its nation building on the east side of the River fyris.
Uppsala Central Station
Uppsala Central Station is a railway station located at Uppsala in Uppsala Municipality, Sweden. It lies on Ostkustbanan (the East Coast Line), which runs south to Stockholm and north to Gävle and Sundsvall and it is one of the termini for Dalabanan (the Dalarna Line) which runs northwest ending in Mora. There are frequent services to Stockholm, and inter-city services including X 2000 expresses connect Uppsala to the north.
Gästrike-Hälsinge nation
Gästrike-Hälsinge Nation, colloquially known as GH, is an association of university students in Uppsala, Sweden, primarily from Uppsala University but also for students from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The nation first and foremost, but not exclusively, recruits students from the Hälsingland and Gästrikland provinces of Sweden.
Västgöta nation
Västgöta Nation, commonly known as Västgöta or VG, is one of the thirteen student nations of Uppsala University, originally intended for students from Västergötland Province. It was founded in 1639 and thus is one of Uppsala’s oldest nations. With about 1 200 members Västgöta Nation is one of the smaller nations at Uppsala but still has extensive cultural activities including three choirs, a theatre club and an orchestra.

Newman Institute (Uppsala)
The Newman Institute for Catholic Studies is a university college offering courses in theology, philosophy, and cultural studies. The Institute was inspired by the English philosopher, writer and cardinal John Henry Newman (1801–1890), and was founded in 2001. It is located in Uppsala and is run by the Society of Jesus; the current rector is Philip Geister SJ. Recently the Newman Institute was accredited by the Swedish Higher Education Authority.

Studenternas IP
Studenternas IP is a multi-use stadium in Uppsala, Sweden and the home arena for the football club IK Sirius Fotboll and in bandy for IK Sirius in Elitserien and several other bandy teams. The summer arena has a total capacity of 6,000 spectators and the winter arena 8,000. The bandy final has been played here since 1991 and the arena has during that weekend a much bigger capacity. 25 560 saw the 2010 final. 2012 will be the last time the final is played here.
