Lidingö Municipality
Lidingö Municipality (Lidingö kommun semi-officially named as Lidingö stad) is a municipality just east of Stockholm in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Lidingö. The municipality is a part of Metropolitan Stockholm. It is chiefly located on the island Lidingö, but also incorporates a few smaller islands in the surroundings, most notably the islets Fjäderholmarna within the Stockholm archipelago.
Gärdet
Gärdet is a part of Stockholm east and northeast of Östermalm. Its official name is Ladugårdsgärdet. It is renowned for its large number of modernist apartments. Gärdet is one of the largest residential districts built in Stockholm during the 1930s, built from 1929 until around 1950, and houses about 10,000 people. All the buildings around Tessinparken were built between 1932 and 1937.
Sticklinge

Lilla Värtan
Lilla Värtan or simply Värtan is a strait in Stockholm, Sweden. Separating mainland Stockholm from the island and municipality Lidingö, it stretches from Blockhusudden in the south to Stora Värtan in the north. Two bridges, collectively called Lidingöbron ("Lidingö Bridge") stretch over the strait.
Ropsten
Ropsten is a cape at the eastern part of Stockholm mainland at the inner part of Stockholm archipelago in Sweden. Two bridges named Lidingöbron extend from Ropsten over to the island of Lidingö. Ropsten area is located between Hjorthagen and the Stockholm city main port Värtahamnen. Ropsten is the terminal station for the eastern part of Stockholm Metro system and is also the terminal station for Lidingöbanan, the railway for public transportation, covering the area of Lidingö.
Lidingöbron
Lidingöbron is the name of two existing and two historical bridges across the strait of Lilla Värtan between the mainland Norra Djurgården at Ropsten, at the eastern part of Stockholm - and the island of Lidingö.
West German Embassy siege
The West German embassy occupation in Stockholm, Sweden, was carried out by the Red Army Faction on 24 April 1975. Collectively, the attackers referred to themselves as Kommando Holger Meins, named after their comrade Holger Meins, who had died after staging a hunger strike in Wittlich Prison on 9 November 1974. The RAF group executed the occupation because they wanted to free RAF members from prison in West Germany.
Swedish Film Institute
The Swedish Film Institute was founded in 1963 to support and develop the Swedish film industry. The institute is housed in the Filmhuset building located in Gärdet, Östermalm in Stockholm. The building, completed in 1970, was designed by architect Peter Celsing. The Swedish Film Institute supports Swedish filmmaking and allocates grants for production, distribution and public showing of Swedish films in Sweden. It also promotes Swedish cinema internationally.
University of Dance and Circus
The University of Dance and Circus (Swedish: Dans- och cirkushögskolan, DOCH) is a Swedish institution offering higher education in the fields of dance education, folk dance, dance, dance therapy, historical dance, choreography and contemporary circus. It operates under the Ministry of Education, and is the only independent university or university college of higher education for dance in Sweden. The school is fully funded by the Government and therefore has no tuition fees.
Stockholm Exhibition (1930)
The Stockholm Exhibition (in Swedish, Stockholmsutställningen) was an exhibition held in 1930 in Stockholm, Sweden, that had a great impact on the architectural styles known as Functionalism and International Style. The fair was conducted by the City of Stockholm and the Svenska Slöjdföreningen (which has evolved into the existing organization, Swedish Form) art society.
Stockholm Open
The If Stockholm Open is a tennis event on the ATP Tour held in Stockholm, Sweden in the end of October or beginning of November each year. The tournament is owned by The Royal Lawn Tennis Club of Stockholm 40%, SALK (Stockholm Public Lawn Tennis Club) 40% and Tennis Stockholm 20%. The first Stockholm Open was held in 1969 and it has been played each year ever since. The tournament is played on indoor hard court and features both men's singles and doubles tournament.
Lillsjön, Djurgården
Lillsjön is a small, former lake at Norra Djurgården, a rural area in north-eastern central Stockholm, Sweden, forming part of the national city park Ekoparken. Today transformed into a wetland, it is often mentioned as one of the six lakes in the area, the other being: Laduviken, Uggleviken, Isbladskärret, Lappkärret, and Spegeldammen. Lillsjön used to be connected to other lakes in the area through narrow straits.
Karlbergskanalen
Karlbergskanalen (Swedish for "Canal of Karlberg") is a canal in western central Stockholm, Sweden. Separating the island Kungsholmen from the northern municipality Solna, it connects Ulvsundasjön to Karlbergssjön and thus forms the western-most part of the nameless body of water which separates Kungsholmen from the northern city districts Vasastaden and Norrmalm; the other sections being Karlbergssjön, Barnhusviken, and Klara Sjö.

Kungliga tennishallen is a tennis venue in Stockholm, Sweden. The stadium was built in 1943 and has a capacity of 5,000. Kungliga tennishallen, now a hard-court surface, remains the venue for the Stockholm Open tournament. In 1975 the venue was the host of the year end Masters tennis tournament.

Ropsten metro station
Ropsten metro station is the end station on line 13 on the red line of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Ropsten. The station was opened in 1967. The station was sited about 10–15 meters above street level as a preparation for an extension to Lidingö on a new bridge. There are now no plans for such an extension and the lines end in mid-air. The Ropsten station also includes the end stop on the Lidingöbanan tramway, a few meters about the street.
Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology
The Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology is a Swedish museum in Stockholm. It is Sweden’s largest museum of technology, and has a national charter to be responsible for preserving the Swedish cultural heritage related to technological and industrial history. Its galleries comprise around 10,000 square meters, and the museum attracts annually about 170,000 visitors.
Military Archives of Sweden
The Military Archives of Sweden is the part of the National Archives of Sweden that keeps archives related to agencies sorting under the Ministry of Defence. The Military Archives were established in 1805 and contain listings of military personnel, drawings and descriptions of military buildings and equipment, maps, private files of key persons in Swedish military history, and photographs. The archived materials date from the 16th century to the present.
Kaknäs
Kaknäs is a district and a former village in Medieval times located in Stockholm, Sweden, as part of the Ladugårdsgärdet area. It is the site of several archeological finds and has given its name to Kaknästornet. During the 1912 Summer Olympics, it hosted several shooting events. The shooting part of the modern pentathlon competition also took place here.

Germania, Djursholm
Germania is the name of a part of Djursholm in Danderyd Municipality north of Stockholm. There is a small bay of Stora Värtan called Germaniaviken, a street called Germaniavägen and the park Germaniaparken. Until 1976 there was a railway stop called Germania at a part of Roslagsbanan which was closed that year. Djursholm was created as a garden town in the late 19th Century and streets and blocks were given names from ancient Norse mythology.
