Linköping University is a state university in Linköping, Sweden. Linköping University was granted full university status in 1975 and is now one of Sweden's largest academic institutions. Education, research and PhD training are the mission of four faculties: Arts and Sciences, Educational Sciences, Health Sciences and the Institute of Technology.

The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited from the provinces of Östergötland, and it was later garrisoned there.

Swedish Air Force Museum
The Swedish Air Force Museum is located at Malmen Airbase in Malmslätt, just outside of Linköping, Sweden. Malmen is where Baron Carl Cederström, nicknamed the "Flyer Baron" founded his flying school in 1912. Malmen Airbase is home to the Royal Swedish Airschool operating SAAB 105 (SK60) jettrainers.
Linköping Municipality
Linköping Municipality (Linköpings kommun) is a municipality in Östergötland County in southern Sweden. Its administrative center is the city of Linköping, with some 94,000 inhabitants. The municipality is bordered in the west by Motala, and thence clockwise by Finspång, Norrköping, Åtvidaberg, Kinda, Boxholm and Mjölby municipalities. The present municipality was formed in 1971 by the amalgamation of the City of Linköping with five surrounding rural municipalities.

The Diocese of Linköping is a diocese within the Church of Sweden administering the Östergötland County, the north eastern part of Jönköping County and the northern part of Kalmar County. It comprises nine deaneries subdivided into 176 parishes with a total o 443,000 members. The dioecese's largest parish is Motala. The Diocese of Linköping has a rank directly below the archdiocese of the Church of Sweden. The current bishop since 1995 is Martin Lind.
Katedralskolan, Linköping
Katedralskolan (literally The Cathedral School), in Linköping, Sweden, is a secondary school, run by Linköping Municipality, which offers Swedish programmes in social sciences and natural sciences as well as (since 2001) the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Having been founded in 1627, it is the third oldest gymnasium in Sweden, after the Rudbeckianska gymnasiet in Västerås and Thomasgymnasiet in Strängnäs. Its name comes from its proximity to Linköping Cathedral.
Berzeliusskolan
Berzeliusskolan (most often called Berzan) is a primary and secondary school (secondary above all), in Linköping, Sweden. The school is run by Linköping Municipality. Berzeliusskolan was founded as a primary school in 1953 under the name of Vasaskolan. When the school also enjoyed a visit from King Gustaf VI Adolf. Vasaskolan was shut down in 1965 and reopened two years later as an institution of higher learning (high school/secondary school).

Belvederen
Belvederen is a building in Linköping, Sweden. It is located on Kjettilberget (Kjettil-hill) in the center of the town. The hill reaches 45 m over the lake Roxen and is the second highest point in Linköping. The building is 22 m high and was built in 1881. This gives the visitor a vantage point of approximately 67 m. (220 ft. ) Currently the building houses a café and a restaurant.
Malmen Airbase
Malmen Airbase is a military airbase located in Malmslätt, Linköping Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden. It is located 3 nautical miles west of Linköping. The base was opened by Carl Cederström in 1912. In the beginning the airbase had only three aircraft but more were bought in the same year. From 1926 to 1974 it served as an air force base for F 3 Malmslätt. In 1974 the Wing was decommissioned, and the airbase was put under F 13 Norrköping then later F 16 Uppsala.
Ryd, Linköping
Ryd is a residential area in Linköping, Sweden, best known for housing the bulk of the Linköping University (Linköpings Universitet, LiU) student body. They live in houses specifically assigned to LiU's students. Many of these homes are in the form of corridor rooms, where students have their own bedroom with an en-suite bathroom but a shared kitchen.
Valla Wood
Valla Wood (in Swedish, Vallaskogen) is a nature reserve in the municipality of Linköping, in the county of Östergötland, Sweden. It is the forested area nearest the city centre. Because the main campus of the University of Linköping lies on the other side of it, many students and workers cycle back and forth daily on the small road through it. Smaller paths and woodland trails are used by people jogging, walking (including walking their dogs), birdwatching, and orienteering.

Linköping University Hospital (Swedish: Universitetssjukhuset i Linköping; abbreviated US in Sweden) is a university hospital in Linköping, Sweden, operated by Östergötland County. Its scientific activities are integrated into the medical faculty (Hälsouniversitet) of Linköping University. The hospital has all specializations except organ transplantation.
Mjärdevi Science Park
Mjärdevi Science Park is a technology area in East Sweden in the city of Linköping. The area is located just outside Linköping University Campus Valla. The area includes about 250 companies with a total of 6,100 employees (2010). Many of these companies have been started because of the innovations at Linköping University.
Downtown Linköping
Downtown Linköping, the Inner City, is the district that includes the center of the city of Linköping. Located here is the commercial and cultural center of the city, with shops, restaurants, bars, shopping mall, museums, churches, libraries, sports facilities, and parks. Also located here is Tinnerbäcksbadet, a heated artificial lake in the middle of the city. Downtown also has a primary school, kindergartens, care centers for the elderly, health centers and specialized healthcare.
Djurgården, Linköping
Djurgården is a district between Garnisonen and Lambohov in Linköping, which is the process of being developed. It is meant to contain 3 000-5 000 housing units, 200,000 to 300,000 square meters of office space and 30,000 square meters of commerce. Construction start for Djurgårdens center, the first area in the district, is estimated to be in 2011. The name Djurgården originates from 1606 when it was a royal hunting park with deer and fallow deer.
Ekkällan
Ekkällan is a centrally located district of Linköping. In 2000 the former Ekkällan district was split and Garnisonen was formed, while a few blocks were transferred to the district of Inner City. The area includes Linköping University Hospital, housing, service apartments for seniors, pre-schools, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, emergency center and more. Population in December 2008 was 1 646. Ekkällan adjoining districts of East Valla, Downtown, Ramshäll, Garnisonen and Berga.
Garnisonen
Garnisonen ("Garrison") is a district in Linköping, which was previously the site of the two military units closed down in July 1997, Livgrenadjärregementet (I 4) and Svea artilleriregemente (A 1). In 2000, the district was formed by division of Ekkällan. The area is still under development, and there are homes, schools, recreation centers, grocery stores, offices and more.
Gottfridsberg
Gottfridsberg in Linköping is a relatively central district, west of the Inner City. It consists of the areas Barhäll, Fridhem, old Gottfridsberg, Tornhagen and Åbylund. The area bounded on the south by Malmslättsvägen, to the east by Västra vägen and Bergsvägen, in the north by the railroad and to the west by Rydsskogen. The district has among other things, grocery store, a restaurant, pizzerias, snack bar and bakery.
Lambohov
Lambohov is a district in southwestern Linköping. It is also the name of the manor around which the district has evolved. The district grew in the 1980s and over 50% of the buildings were erected from 1981 to 1990. Initially it was characterized by a mix of different forms of housing, such as houses alternating with low apartment buildings. Lambohov currently has nearly 8,000 inhabitants. It is customary to divide Lambohov into several parts.
Skäggetorp
Skäggetorp is a district in Linköping, located northwest of downtown. The buildings are mostly two-story and three-story buildings, both condominiums and apartment buildings, which are built around a large center with office buildings, shops, bank, pharmacy and other services. In the area there are medical and dental offices, schools, child care, nursing home, church, playing fields and Ullevi allotment area.
Vasastaden, Linköping
Vasastaden is a central neighborhood in Linköping, consisting of mostly apartment buildings with rental apartments, two bedrooms or less. Three-quarters of the dwellings were built before 1960. Some development has taken place in recent years in the neighborhood of Bantorget and a detailed development program for upper Vasastaden has been adopted, which will result in approximately 2,000 residential units, plus commercial, office, craft and healthcare space.
