St Peter's College, Colombo
St. Peter's College is a distinguished boys only primary to secondary (inclusive) school in the Bambalapitiya zone of Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1922. In 1919, just after the end of World War I, Rev. Fr. M.J. Le Goc, Rector of St Joseph's College, Colombo, had a vision of a college in the southern suburbs of Colombo. While he was traveling one day on his famous motor bicycle with this idea in mind, Fr Le Goc spotted a block of cinnamon land in Bambalapitiya which belonged to Mr. E.C.
Bambalapitiya
Bambalapitiya is a suburb in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The area, numbered Colombo 4, spans about one and a half kilometres of the Galle Road in Colombo. The west of the city is bordered by the Indian Ocean while to the east Havelock Town town borders it. In the early 19th century it is believed Bambalapitiya was a jungle infested with snakes. Cashew trees were common here. Outlaws would seek hiding in the dense jungle, and hijack bullock carts carrying produce between Galle and Colombo. St.

Viharamahadevi Park
The Viharamahadevi Park (formerly Victoria Park) is a public park located in Colombo, next to the National Museum in Sri Lanka. It is the oldest and largest park of the Port of Colombo. Situated in front of the colonial-style Town Hall building, the park is named after Queen Viharamahadevi, the mother of King Dutugamunu. The park was built during the British rule of Sri Lanka, and was originally named "Victoria Park" after Queen Victoria.

National Library and Documentation Services Board
National Library and Documentation Services Board is the agency of the government of Sri Lanka which helps maintains all state libraries around the country including the Colombo Library but the management of individual libraries in cities and towns are carried out by the Municipal Council. The National Library and Documentation Services Board (NLDSB) was established under the act No: 51 of 1998 succeeding the Sri Lanka National Library Services Board which was established in 1970.
Prime Minister's House (Colombo)

Wellawatte, a suburb in Colombo, lies immediately south of Bambalapitiya and is classified as zone 6 within the Colombo Municipal region. The town begins at the old Dutch canal just before the Savoy Cinema and extends all the way south to the same canal that spills into the sea just before the Hospital Road junction where Dehiwela begins.

Bandaranayaka College is a boys' secondary school as well as the foremost college in Sri Lanka.
Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall
The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Built between 1970 and 1973 the convention center was a gift from the People's Republic of China in memory of Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) from 1956 to 1959.

Colombo University Observatory
The Colombo University Observatory is the astronomical observatory located at the University of Colombo. Formally the Colombo Observatory it is a permanently mounted telescope with its own observatory dome located on the university grounds next to Reid Avenue in Colombo. The observatory is used by the Mathematical and Astronomical Society. The telescope is a 12½-inch (32 cm) Newtonian reflector solidly fixed on a polar mount.

Bandaranayake Central College, Veyangoda, also known as “Veyangoda Central College (VCC)”, is a National school in Sri Lanka. The school was originally one of the three first Central Colleges established under the education reforms of late Hon. C. W. W. Kannangara, who introduced free education in Sri Lanka.
