Osona
Osona is a comarca situated in central Catalonia, Spain. Its capital is Vic. Its population is 129,543. Osona covers roughly the same area as the historic Catalan county of Osona. The name Osona comes from Ausetans, a group of Iberian people that had their capital in Ausa; the Romans called the area Ausone or Ausona. While most of the comarca is within the province of Barcelona, the municipalities of Espinelves, Vidrà and Viladrau form part of the province of Girona.

Roda de Ter is a municipality in the comarca of Osona, province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, near Vic, on the Ter River above the Sau Reservoir. Population: 5,435 (2004), area: 2.18 km². Its church is dedicated to St. Peter. Main monuments: Pont Vell ("Old Bridge") and the Capella del Sòl del Pont (Chapel of Sun of the Bridge). The Virgin Mary, La Mare de Déu del Sòl del Pont is the patron of the village. On the site of an Iberian town a Roman villa was established.

1991 Vic bombing
The 1991 Vic bombing was an attack carried out by the Basque separatist group ETA which occurred on 29 May 1991 when a car bomb carrying more than 200 kg of explosive went off outside a Civil Guard barracks in the Catalonian city of Vic, Spain. The bombing killed 9 people, including five children, and injured 44 people. Following the selection of Barcelona as the host of the 1992 Olympic Games, ETA launched a series of attacks in Catalonia to capture worldwide attention.
Club Hípic El Montanyà

This natural depression carved by river Ter and its tributaries is longer than it is wide and stretches in a N / S direction.

Turó del Castell (Tavertet)
Turó del Castell is a mountain of the Guilleries Massif, Catalonia, Spain. It has an altitude of 851.1 metres above sea level. The Susqueda reservoir lies off the southern slopes of the mountain. The high plateau lying ENE of the mountain is known as Pla del Castell. A rocky outcrop known as Puig de la Força (739 m) rises WSW of the summit.

1970 Dan-Air de Havilland Comet crash
The 1970 Dan-Air de Havilland Comet airplane crash was a fatal accident involving a de Havilland DH 106 Comet series 4 jet aircraft operated by Dan Air Services Limited on a non-scheduled international passenger service from Manchester to Barcelona. British tour operator Clarksons Holidays had contracted the aircraft to carry a group of holidaymakers who had booked an all-inclusive package holiday with it.
