Teatro Arriaga
The Teatro Arriaga is an opera house in Bilbao, Spain. It was built in Neo-baroque style by architect Joaquín Rucoba in 1890, the same architect that built the city hall. It is named after Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, known in his time as the "Spanish Mozart". The theater was rebuilt in 1985 after severe flooding destroyed it in August 1983.
Begoña
Begoña or more puristically but also more rarely spelled Begoina, meaning "the lower foot", is a historical municipality of Biscay that was incorporated to Bilbao in 1925. Originally it included all the uplands south and east of the medieval walled town, that now form the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and parts of 5th urban districts of Bilbao.
Santutxu
Santutxu (it can also be spelled as Santuchu when written in Spanish) is one of the most populous neighbourhoods of Bilbao. It belongs to the 4th urban district, named Begoña. It is basically a popular residential neighbourhood but has also a relatively strong commercial area, including a food retail market of its own. Bilbao La Vieja in Spanish, "Old Bilbao" in English and Bilbo Zaharra in Basque. It's a neighbourhood of Bilbao and part of the 5th district of the city.
Abando
Abando was the name of an old municipality of Biscay, that was eventually absorbed by Bilbao. Nowadays, the name refers to the central district and neighbourhood of this city, holding the provincial administration, the long-distance RENFE Bilbao-Abando train station, three subway stations (Abando, Moyúa and Indautxu), and many commerces like El Corte Inglés department store.
Plaza Nueva
The Plaza Nueva or Plaza Barria (New Square) of Bilbao is a monumental square of Neoclassical style built in 1821. Its name comes from the previously existing Plaza Vieja or Old Square in the place where the Ribera Market was built. The square is enclosed by arcaded buildings and accessed by arches known as cuevas (caves). The main building was the site of the Biscay government, until a new palace was built in 1890. The place is now the site of Euskaltzaindia, the Basque language Royal Academy.
St. James' Cathedral, Bilbao
Santiago Cathedral is a Catholic Cathedral in the city of Bilbao that was officially declared cathedral in 1950. Its origins probably date to well before the foundation of the city in 1300, when Bilbao was little more than a small enclave of fishermen. The temple is consecrated in honor of the apostle Saint James the Great, by virtue of being a point of transit for the pilgrims that followed the Northern branch of the Way of Saint James.
Atxuri
Atxuri is a neighborhood of Bilbao. It was originally a suburb south of the old walled town. Modernly it stands between this neighborhood and those of Solokoetxe, Santutxu and the estuary of Bilbao. Administratively, it belongs to the 5th district of the city. It hosts Bilbao-Atxuri Station, the main EuskoTren railway station, that links Bilbao with San Sebastián and Bermeo.
Bilbao City Hall
The City Hall of Bilbao, Spain, is located on the right bank of the Estuary of Bilbao across the Puente del Ayuntamiento bascule bridge that links it to the central Abando district. The building was built in 1892 by Joaquín Rucoba, on the former site of a convent in the district of Uribarri. It was built in Baroque style. One of the highlights of the building is the Arab Hall, a richly decorated hall in the Neo-Mudéjar style that resembles the decorations found in the Alhambra of Granada.
Artxanda Funicular
The Artxanda Funicular is a funicular railway in the city of Bilbao in Spain's Basque Country. It links downtown Bilbao with the recreational area at the summit of the nearby Artxanda Mountain, which has a park, several restaurants, a hotel, a sports complex, and offers panoramic views of the city.

Casco Viejo
Las Siete Calles or Casco Viejo in Spanish or Zazpikaleak or Alde Zaharra in Basque are different names for the medieval neighbourhood of Bilbao, part of the Ibaiondo district. The names mean Seven Streets or Old Town respectively and it used to be the walled part of the town until the end of the 19th century.

Estación de Abando Indalecio Prieto, also known as Bilbao-Abando and locally named as Estación del Norte ("North Station") is a railway terminal station located on Abando, the sixth district of Bilbao. It is the main and most important train station of Bilbao. It is located in the center of the city, in the neighborhood of Abando (on the district of the same name), near the Circular Square (formerly known as Spain Square) and the Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro.
Ibaiondo
Ibaiondo is the 5th district of the city of Bilbao. Ibaiondo is a recently used name and in Basque language means Beside the river. It is divided into the neighbourhoods of Atxuri, Bilbo Zarra, Casco Viejo, Iturralde, Abusu, San Adrián, San Francisco, Solokoetxe, Miribilla and Zabala. The original walled city, the Casco Viejo, is located in this district, including the oldest buildings of the city like the Santiago Cathedral and Saint Anton Church, both from the 15th century.
Otxarkoaga-Txurdinaga
Otxarkoaga-Txurdinaga is the third district of the city of Bilbao, Basque Country. It is divided into the neighbourhoods of Otxarkoaga and Txurdinaga. It has an area of 389.94 hectares and a population of 29,690 inhabitants (2005), being one of the least densely populated districts of the city.
Uribarri
Uribarri is the second district of the city of Bilbao, Basque Country. It is divided into the neighbourhoods of Castaños, Matico-Ciudad Jardín, Uríbarri proper and Zurbaran-Arabella. It has an area of 4.19 square kilometers and a population of 39,369 inhabitants.
Bilbao-Atxuri Station
Bilbao-Atxuri Station, commonly known only as Bilbao-Atxuri or Atxuri Station is a terminal station located in the neighborhood of Atxuri, in the district of Ibaiondo in Bilbao, Spain. The terminal serves commuters traveling on EuskoTren and the tram services of EuskoTran. It is the terminal station for both services. It is owned by the Basque Country Transportation Department. The building also serves as headquarters for the company Eusko Trenbideak - Ferrocarriles Vascos.
Bolueta Station
Bolueta station, commonly known simply as Bolueta is a railway station serving the commuter rail and regional rail services of EuskoTren and also the rapid transit system Metro Bilbao. It is located in the neighborhood of Bolueta and district of Begoña, south-eastern Bilbao. In total, five different lines transit the station; three of EuskoTren and two of Metro Bilbao. EuskoTren lines to San Sebastián, Ermua and Bermeo, and Metro Bilbao lines 1 and 2.
Etxebarri (Metro Bilbao)
Etxebarri is a station of the Line 1 and Line 2 of Metro Bilbao. It is the southeastern terminus of line 1. The station before is Bolueta, while the station after, and terminus station of both lines, is Ariz. Etxebarri station is located in the municipality of Etxebarri, in the Greater Bilbao area. It was the terminus station for both lines until Ariz station was opened in 2011. It can be accessed from Fuenlabrada Street and has a park and ride parking.
Basarrate (Metro Bilbao)
Basarrate is a station of the Line 1 and Line 2 of Metro Bilbao. The station before is Santutxu and the station after is Bolueta. Basarrate is located in the neighborhood of Santutxu in the district of Begoña, in the city of Bilbao. Its name comes from Campa de Basarrate, a plaza located above the station. It is one of the two stations of Metro Bilbao located in this neighborhood, with the other one being Santutxu station. Its fare zone is A. It is an underground station.

San Antón Bridge
The San Antón Bridge is an arch bridge in Bilbao, Spain. It spans the Estuary of Bilbao, linking the neighborhoods of Bilbao La Vieja and Casco Viejo. It is the oldest bridge in the city, with the original bridge being opened before 1318. At the time of its opening, and during centuries, it was the only bridge that crossed the river. It is located next to the Church of San Antón. The San Antón Bridge is one of Bilbao's emblems and it is depicted on the city's coat of arms.
Arenal Bridge
The Arenal Bridge is a reinforced concrete bridge in Bilbao, Spain. It spans the Estuary of Bilbao, linking the neighborhoods of Casco Viejo and Abando. The original bridge was opened in 1847. The Arriaga Theater, the Arenal de Bilbao (Bilbao Arenal) park, the Estación de Concordia (Concordia Train Station) and the Bailén Skyscraper (the first skyscraper of the city) can be seen from the bridge.
Church of San Antón
The Church of San Antón is a Catholic temple located in the Old Town neighbourhood of Bilbao, Spain. It is dedicated to Anthony the Great, known as San Antón in Spanish. It is featured, along with the San Antón Bridge, in the city's coat of arms. The estuary of Bilbao flows next to it.
