Changdeokgung
Changdeokgung (Hangul, 창덕궁, 昌德宮; literally, "Prospering Virtue Palace") -- also known as Changdeokgung Palace or Changdeok Palace -- is set within a large park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897). As it is located east of Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeokgung, along with Changgyeonggung, is also referred to as the "East Palace" (동궐, 東闕, Donggwol).

Jonggak Station
Jonggak Station is a station on the Line 1 of the Seoul Subway in South Korea. It is located on Jongno, central Seoul and comprises a large underground arcade. The second-largest book shop in South Korea, the Bandi & Luni's lying under the Jongno Tower, which in turn is just above this station, is directly accessible from the station. On every New Year's Day, the bell ceremony (Jeyaeui Jong Tajongsik) is held at Boshingak, the nearby bell pavilion.
Gwanghwamun Station
Gwanghwamun Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 5 in South Korea. It is not the closest subway station to the actual gate of Gwanghwamun, for which it is named. It is located next to the U.S. Embassy in Seoul. This station boasts the most traffic of all Line 5 stations.
Jongno 3-ga Station
Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station is an underground station on lines 1, 3 and 5 of the Seoul Subway in South Korea. In December 2010 the station is recorded as having the fifth highest WiFi data consumption of all the Seoul Metropolitan Subway stations, following Express Bus Terminal Station, Sadang Station, Dongdaemun Station and Jamsil Station.
Jogyesa
Jogyesa is the chief temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, becoming so in 1936. It thus plays a leading role in the current state of Seon Buddhism in South Korea. The temple was first established in 1395, at the dawn of the Joseon Dynasty; the modern temple was founded in 1910 and initially called "Hwanggaksa. " The name was changed to "Taegosa" during the period of Japanese rule, and then to the present name in 1954. Jogyesa is located in Gyeonji-dong, Jongno-gu, in central Seoul.
Jongmyo
Jongmyo is a Confucian shrine dedicated to the memorial services for the deceased kings and queens of the Korean Joseon Dynasty. According to UNESCO, the shrine is the oldest royal Confucian shrine preserved and the ritual ceremonies continue a tradition established since the 14th century. Such shrines existed during the Three Kingdoms of Korea period but only the shrines for the rulers of Joseon remain. The Jongmyo Shrine was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1995.
Wongudan
Wongudan Altar, located in Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea, was built in 1897 to serve as a site for the performance of the rite of heaven. The site was also known by other names, such as Hwangudan (환구단, 圜丘壇), Jecheondan and Wondan (원단, 圜壇). Wongudan was designated South Korea's Historic Site No. 157 on July 15, 1967. The rite of Heaven was performed during the pre-Three Kingdoms period.
Unhyeongung
Unhyeon Palace, also known as Unhyeongung Royal Residence, is a former Korean royal residence located at 114-10 Unni-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Korea. It was formerly the residence of Prince Regent Daewon-gun, ruler of Korea during the Joseon Dynasty in the 19th century, and father of Emperor Gojong. Gojong himself also lived in this residence until age 12 when he assumed the throne.
Tapgol Park
Tapgol Park, formerly Pagoda Park, is a small (19,599 m²/23,440 yd²/4.84 acre) public park located at 97 Jongno (street), Seoul, South Korea. This park was once a site of Wongaksa (Buddhist Temple). The word tap means "pagoda", and the park gets its name from the Wongaksa Pagoda, a 10 storied stone pagoda located in the park. It was previously the site of a 15th century Buddhist temple, and a 10 storied stone pagoda and a few relics of the temple still can be seen in the park.
Euljiro 1-ga Station
Euljiro 1-ga Station (을지로입구역) is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2. The station is located on the north end of the Myeongdong shopping district and is the station closest to the main branch of the Lotte Department Store.
Dansungsa
Dansungsa, established in 1907, was the first movie theatre in Korea. It is located in Jongno 3-ga, Seoul. Korea Loyal Flight became the theatre's first ever premiere in 1919. Chunsa Na Woon-gyu's Korean folk movie, Arirang, followed, premiering in the theatre in 1926. Chunhyanjeon became the theatre's third premier in 1935. In 1963, the South Korean government declared October 27, the same day when Korea Loyal Flight premiered at Dansungsa, to be the Korea Film Day.
Bosingak
Bosingak is a large bell pavilion on Jongno in Seoul, South Korea. The bell in Bosingak gives Jongno its name, which literally means "bell street. " It was originally constructed in 1396 but destroyed many times by both war and fire. It was designated Bosingak by Emperor Gojong in 1895. In the Joseon Dynasty,this bell was the center of the castle. The bell was hit to announce the opening and closing of the 4 gates around Seoul.
International Worship in English
International Worship in English (IWE - pronounced "I" "WE") is a Christian ministry of Young Nak Presbyterian Church in Myeongdong Seoul, South Korea that in English offers traditional worship at 10am and contemporary worship at 3pm on Sundays. Weddings, counseling, small group studies, fellowship and retreats are provided for the international community in the greater Seoul area. The ministry is like a church (mega-church) within a church (international church).

Ilmin Museum of Art
Ilmin Museum of Art is a private art museum of South Korea, located on Sejongno street in Jongno-gu, a central district of Seoul, known for exhibiting mainly Korean art. The museum was established and run by the Ilmin Cultural Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 1994 in memory of Kim Sang-man, former president of Dong-A Ilbo, one of the major newspaper companies of South Korea. Kim devoted his entire life to developing Korean journalism and promoting Korean culture.

Jeongdok Public Library
Jeongdok Public Library is a library in Seoul, South Korea. It is located in Hwa-dong, Jongno-gu, on Bukchongil. On the campus of Jeongdok Public Library is Jongchinbu, Seoul Tangible Cultural Property number 9. Jongchinbu was constructed in 1433 and is one of three remaining Joseon Dynasty government buildings. The rest were destroyed in the Japanese invasions, occupation, or the Korean War. Until February 1976, Kyunggi High School was located in the campus.
Gwangtonggwan
Gwangtonggwan, located in Seoul, is one of Korea's oldest bank buildings. Its address is 19 Namdaemunno 1-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul. Currently the Woori Bank's Jongno Branch, it is also the oldest continuously operating bank building in Korea. Constructed in 1909, Gwangtonggwan is one of the few surviving examples of Korea's early 20th century western architecture.
Third Battle of Seoul
The Third Battle of Seoul, also known as the Chinese New Year's Offensive, the January–Fourth Retreat or the Third Phase Campaign Western Sector (Chinese: 第三次战役西线; pinyin: Dì Sān Cì Zhàn Yì Xī Xiàn), was a battle of the Korean War, which took place from December 31, 1950 to January 7, 1951 around the South Korean capital of Seoul.
Jongno Tower
Jongno Tower is a 33-story office building in Jongno, Seoul. Its top floor is equipped with a restaurant and bar which is famous for its view of Jongno and other areas of Seoul. The tower is located near Jonggak Station of Seoul Subway Line 1. The 23rd to 30th floors are hollow. The hangeul lettering is 삼성증권, the owner of the building. It was designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, and built in 1999. Its height is 132 meters.
Climate of Seoul
The climate of Seoul features either a humid subtropical or a humid continental climate (depending on whether the 0 °C or -3 °C isotherm is used), see. Seoul is classed as having a temperate climate with four distinct seasons, but temperature differences between the hottest part of summer and the depths of winter are extreme. In summer the influence of the North Pacific high-pressure system brings hot, humid weather with temperatures soaring as high as 35 °C (95 °F) on occasion.
