Jeju Province
Jeju Province (officially the Jeju Special Self-governing Province is one of the nine provinces of South Korea. The province is situated on and coterminous with the nation's largest island, formerly transliterated as Cheju or known as Quelpart to Europeans. Jeju Province lies in the Korea Strait, southwest of South Jeolla Province, of which it was a part before it became a separate province in 1946. Its capital is Jeju City.
Jeju Uprising
The Jeju Uprising was a revolt on Jeju island off the south coast of the Korean Peninsula, beginning on April 3, 1948. Between 14,000 and 60,000 individuals were killed in fighting between various factions on the island or were executed. The brutal suppression of this rebellion by the South Korean army resulted in tens of thousands of deaths, the destruction of many villages on the island, and sparking rebellions on the Korean mainland.
Jeju World Cup Stadium
Jeju World Cup Stadium is a football stadium with a 42,256-person capacity that is located in the city of Seogwipo on the small South Korean island province of Jeju-do. The design of the stadium which is in the shape of mouth of a volcano is based on Jeju Island’s natural environment and its sea surroundings. The roof of Jeju World Cup Stadium is in the form of nets of traditional fishing boats in Jeju.
Marado
Marado or Mara Island is an island 8 km off the south coast of Jeju, in southernmost South Korea, having an area of 0.3 km². It is home to about 90 people, and has long been known for its population being composed of strong women and docile men. It's becoming a popular tourist destination, thanks to the many unusual rock formations, and is connected to the mainland by two regular ferries and numerous excursion boats.
Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is a waterfall on Jeju Island, South Korea. Literally, the name Cheonjiyeon means sky (Ch'eon) connected with land (ji). It is one of the main tourist attractions on Jeju-do. It is 22 m high and 12 m wide. Though water always falls in one particular area, depending on the amount of recent rain, the water may spread out. At the bottom of the waterfall is an artificial pond that is 20 m deep. Two small dams help keep the water at a specific level.
Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls
Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, not to be confused with the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, is a three-tier waterfall located on Jeju Island. Cold water flows out of the ceiling of a cave to make the waterfall. Between the precipice of the waterfall and the lower clay layer, water springs out. In first cascade, the cliff is 22 m high and the water falls into Cheonjeyeon pond which is 21 m deep. From there, the water goes to the second waterfall and falls 30 m and continues to the third waterfall.
Seonim Bridge
Seonimgyo Bridge is an arch bridge on Jeju Island over Cheonjeyeon Waterfall that has seven nymphs carved on both sides. It crosses from east to west over the stream between the second and third tiers of Cheonjeyeon waterfall. The bridge is also called Chilseonyeogyo (칠선녀교) or Seven Nymphs Bridge. The nymphs symbolize the Korean legend of the descent of seven beautiful nymphs from heaven at night. Seonimgyo Bridge is the first bridge with Ojakgyo (오작교) design in the region.
International Convention Center Jeju
International Convention Center Jeju (ICC Jeju) opened in 2003 on Jeju Island, South Korea, in the Jungmun Resort near the city of Seogwipo. It began under private-public consortium ownership and is becoming fully publicly owned. It consists of a larger oval-shaped glass structure and a smaller round glass annex, and surrounding facilities. The largest hall accommodates 4,300 people, with various smaller halls and meeting rooms.
Jusangjeolli
The Jusangjeolli cliff is a spectacular volcanic rock formation at the southern coast of Jeju Island, South Korea. It is similar to the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.

Songaksan (Jeju)
Mt. Songak is a simple volcano on Jeju Island which has double craters and a parasitic volcano. Crater 1 is about 500 m in diameter, 1.7 km in circumference. Crater 2, the mouth of the volcano in Crater 1, is about 400 m in diameter, 69 m in depth and leans vertically. From Sanyisu-dong to the summit and ridge of Mt. Songak there are various trails along the coast and on the volcano. Mt. Songak is one part of olle road route 10. Mt.
Jeju-do Naval Base
The Jeju Naval Base (제주 해군기지) is a planned military base on Jeju Island, South Korea (coterminous with Jeju Province, or Jeju-do). The plan was first announced in 1993 during the Kim Young Sam presidency. During the Roh Moo-hyun presidency, the southwestern villages of Hwasun and Wimi were considered potential sites of construction. However, strong opposition to the construction plans from residents of these areas prevented the plans from proceeding.
