Chevrolet Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches. It is the home of the Knights cricket team. The stadium holds 20,000 people and opened in 1989. A naming rights arrangement saw the ground renamed Goodyear Park until the 2007-08 season when it was renamed the OUTsurance Oval. As of the 2011-2012 season it was again renamed Chevrolet Park.
Government House, Orange Free State
Government House, located in Bloemfontein, was the official residence of the Governor of the Orange Free State, South Africa. A Neo-Dutch style mansion was designed in 1935. Completed in 1941, this mansion located on Grant’s Hill served as residence for the Governor General of the Union of South Africa from 1942. In 1972, the building was officially named Oliewenhuis, the name derived from the abundance of wild olive trees growing on the hills nearby. In 1985 the building became an art museum.
