Lake Bled
Lake Bled (Slovene: Blejsko jezero; German: Bleder See, Veldeser See) is a glacial lake in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia, where it adjoins the town of Bled. The area is a popular tourist destination. The lake is 35 km from Ljubljana International Airport and 55 km from the capital city, Ljubljana.
Pokljuka
Pokljuka is a forested karst plateau at an elevation of around 1,100 to 1,400 metres (to ft), located in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. It is part of Triglav National Park. Administratively, it belongs to the municipalities of Bled, Bohinj, and Gorje. The plateau is known for its winter sports facilities, among which are the yearly Biathlon World Cup meets held at the Pokljuka Biathlon Center, 15 kilometres west of the village of Bled .
Bled Castle
Bled Castle is a medieval castle built on a precipice above the city of Bled in Slovenia, overlooking Lake Bled. According to written sources, it is the oldest Slovenian castle and is currently one of the most visited tourist attractions in Slovenia.
Bled Gorge
The Bled Gorge or Vintgar Gorge (Soteska Vintgar) is a 1.6-kilometre gorge located in Slovenia in the Municipality of Gorje near the settlement of Zgornje Gorje, four kilometers northwest of Bled. Carved by the Radovna River, the sheer canyon walls are 50 to 100 metres (to ft) high, with a total slope measuring about 250 m . The stream has created many erosive features such as pools and rapids, and terminates in the picturesque 13 m Šum Falls (literally, 'noisy falls').

Multinational Centre of Excellence for Mountain Warfare (MN COEMW; Slovene: Večnacionalni center odličnosti za gorsko bojevanje) is one of NATO Centres of Excellence, located in Bohinjska Bela, Slovenia. It is "responsible for training individuals and units for operation in the mountains and other terrains difficult to pass". Currently Centre is not fully accredited; full accreditation is planned for 2015.
