The Municipality of Horjul is a municipality in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. Its administrative center is the town of Horjul.
Polhov Gradec Castle
Polhov Gradec Castle (Slovene: Grad Polhov Gradec, German: Billichgrätz or Pilchgrez, also known as the Old Castle, Stari Grad) is a castle ruin above the settlement of Polhov Gradec, in the Municipality of Dobrova–Polhov Gradec in central Slovenia. It is located on Calvary Hill (Kalvarija, also known as Old Castle–Calvary Hill, Stari grad - Kalvarija, 460 m) immediately northwest of the town center. Since 2008, the castle houses the Slovene Museum of Post and Telecommunications.
Big Božna
Big Božna Creek or simply the Božna, also known as Božja Creek (Božja voda), or Big Creek (Velika voda) is a stream in Slovenia. It was recorded under the German names Salog bach or Sallog Bach (i.e. , Zalog Creek) in the 18th century. Big Božna Creek is a tributary of the Gradaščica. Its source is in the Polhov Gradec Hills west of Ljubljana, not far from Kremenik. It forms part of the watershed of the Ljubljanica River.
Museum of Post and Telecommunications
The Museum of Post and Telecommunications (Slovene: Muzej pošte in telekomunikacij) is a museum in Slovenia that presents the history of mail and telecommunications in the country and in general. It was established in 1985 and is the oldest communications institution in Slovenia. It stems from the tradition of the Museum of the Hungarian Crown Post Office, established in Budapest in 1887. The museum, which until 2008 resided in Škofja Loka, is now housed in Polhov Gradec Castle.
