Orchard Road
Orchard Road is a 2.2 kilometre-long street that is the retail and entertainment hub of Singapore. It is a major tourist attraction, in addition to being the most popular shopping enclave in the city-state. Often, the surrounding area is known simply as Orchard, partly because the MRT station that serves the vicinity is named Orchard. The Orchard Planning Area is one of 55 urban planning areas as specified by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and is a commercial district.
Ngee Ann City
Ngee Ann City is a shopping and commercial centre located on Orchard Road, Singapore. The S$520 million building was officially opened on 21 September 1993 by then Prime Minister, Goh Chok Tong. Many Singaporeans refer to Ngee Ann City as "Taka", a slang-abbreviation of the anchor tenant's name, Takashimaya. In fact, this name is now probably more commonly used in everyday conversation than the building's original name.
Orchard MRT Station
Orchard MRT Station (NS22/TS14) is located on the North South Line of the Mass Rapid Transit and is located along Orchard Road, Singapore. Its platform livery is maroon, but it is mostly clad with black marble. Passenger traffic at this station is extremely high, especially during weekend and festive periods despite not being an interchange station. Opening in 2021, Orchard station will be an interchange station with a new line, Thomson Line.

Mandarin Orchard Singapore
Mandarin Orchard Singapore, formerly the Mandarin Singapore, and Meritus Mandarin Singapore managed by Meritus Hotels & Resorts, is a five-star hotel located at 333 Orchard Road in Singapore. Opened in 1971 and occupying a single 36-storey block, it became a landmark for the Orchard Road area when the second block, standing at 40 storeys and 173 metres high, became the tallest development in the area when it opened in 1973. Cathay Cineleisure Orchard
Cathay Cineleisure Orchard is an urban mall located at Grange Road, Singapore. The building is managed by Cathay Organisation Holdings Limited, under its subsidiary company of Cathay Cineleisure International. Cathay Cineleisure opened in 1997 after the old Orchard Cinema building was torn down in 1994. To many teenagers and youths, the place is known in its short form as "Cine".
Emerald Hill, Singapore
Emerald Hill is a neighbourhood and a conservation area located in the planning areas of Newton and Orchard in Singapore. Former home to many members of the city-state's wealthy Peranakan community, it is located near Orchard Road. Many of its homes feature Chinese Baroque architecture. Emerald Hill is also the setting for some of the short stories by the late Singaporean author Goh Sin Tub.
Wisma Atria
Wisma Atria is an established shopping mall on Orchard Road in Singapore with retail businesses on 5 levels. The 230,000 square feet centre which opened in 1986, is directly linked underground to Orchard MRT station and neighbouring centres. With its convenient location and close proximity to hotels and service apartments, the centre draws a high shopper traffic of locals, tourists and business travelers. It is situated next to Orchard and is linked underground with the station.
The Paragon
Paragon is an upmarket shopping centre on Orchard Road, Singapore. The 18-storey shopping centre was designed by Kumpulan Senireka Sendirian Berhad, a Malaysian architectural firm. It was redeveloped in the late 1990s, transforming it into a modern glass-covered building. It has been described as “posh and sleek”.
ION Orchard
ION Orchard formerly known as the Orchard Turn Development or Orchard Turn Site, is a shopping mall by Orchard Turn Developments Pte Ltd, a joint venture between CapitaLand and Sun Hung Kai Properties. It started operating on 21 July 2009, occupying 335 food and retail outlets. The Orchard Residences, a high-rise residential condominium, was completed in with the shopping mall under the same developer, manager and owner in 2010. It owned a 99-year leasehold with effect from 13 March 2006.
