Cap-Vert
Cap-Vert is a peninsula in Senegal, and the westernmost point of the continent of Africa and of the Old World mainland. Originally called Cabo Verde or "Green Cape" by Portuguese explorers, it is not to be confused with the Cape Verde islands, which are some 560 kilometres further west. Dakar, the capital of Senegal, is located near the southern tip. Cap-Vert is a rocky promontory extending west from the main sandy areas of Senegal. Cap-Vert has an excellent harbor, facing Gorée Island.

Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport (French: Aéroport International Léopold Sédar Senghor) is an international airport serving Dakar, the capital of Senegal. The airport is situated near the town of Yoff, north of Dakar. It was known as Dakar Yoff International Airport (French: Aéroport International de Dakar Yoff) until 9 October 1996, when it was renamed in honor of Léopold Sédar Senghor, the first president of Senegal.
Yoff
Yoff is a town (commune d'arrondissement) part of the city (commune) of Dakar. It lies north of downtown Dakar and immediately north of Dakar Airport. The town is built along the broad beach at Yoff Bay. According to 31.12.2004 official estimates, the population of Yoff is 55,995 inhabitants. Administration is devolved to the town, which is essentially run by the Layene Islamic Brotherhood, the town featuring the mausoleum of its founder. As a result, no alcohol is available in the town.

Stade Leopold Senghor
Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor is a multi-purpose stadium in Dakar, Senegal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and it also has an athletics track. It serves as a home ground of ASC Jeanne d'Arc and the Senegal national football team. The stadium holds 60,000. It was built in 1985. On 13 October 2012, a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match between Senegal and Ivory Coast was abandoned due to rioting at the stadium. Senegal were disqualified from the tournament as a result.

The African Renaissance Monument (French: Le Monument de la Renaissance africaine) is a 49m tall bronze statue located on top of one of the twin hills known as Collines des Mamelles, outside of Dakar, Senegal. Built overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in the Ouakam suburb, the statue was designed by the Senegalese architect Pierre Goudiaby after an idea presented by president Abdoulaye Wade and built by a company from North Korea.
