Geography of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an island state in the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, an island arc of the Caribbean Sea in North America. The country consists of the main island of Saint Vincent and the northern two-thirds of the Grenadines, a chain of small islands stretching south from Saint Vincent to Grenada. Its total land area is 390 km² of which 342.7 km² is the island of Saint Vincent. The country's capital is at Kingstown on Saint Vincent.

Bequia is the largest island in the Grenadines at 7 square miles . Bequia means "island of the clouds" in the ancient Arawak. The island's name was also 'Becouya' as part of the Granadilles. The island's unofficial anthem is considered to be 'Only in Bequia' by island native Raphael "Socony" Holder.

Charlotte is the largest parish of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, situated on the west coast of the island of Saint Vincent. With an area of 149 km², its size is comparable to that of the British Virgin Islands. The parish possesses a very rough and rugged topography with very little flat land occurring towards the coast.

Arnos Vale Stadium
Arnos Vale Ground (a.k.a. The Playing Fields) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is currently used mostly for cricket and football matches. The stadium holds 18,000. It is one of the home grounds of the Windward Islands cricket team. Pakistan is scheduled to play a test against the West Indies in 2013.
Colonarie River
The Colonarie River is the longest river in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Located on the main island of Saint Vincent, it flows from the northeast slopes of Grand Bonhomme peak in a northeastward direction, turning east before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean on the island's central east coast. The town of Colonarie is located on the banks of the river.
Grand Bonhomme
Grand Bonhomme is a mountain in the south of the island of Saint Vincent in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It rises to a height of 3193 feet (958 m).
Botanic Gardens St. Vincent
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Botanic Gardens is located in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is one of the oldest in the Western Hemisphere (preceded only by Bartram's Garden in Philadelphia) and perhaps the oldest in the tropical world. Conservation of rare species of plants has been practiced here since 1765. The Nicholas Wildlife Aviary complex located within the Gardens also maintains a captive breeding program to conserve the vulnerable St Vincent Parrot.
Byahaut Bat Cave
Byahaut Bat Cave is a costal cave in the Caribbean Island of St. Vincent on the Western Coast. The cave is a local landmark for boats organising Diving and snorkel trips for tourists. The cave is believed to contain a large and noisy bat population.
Buccament River
The Buccament River is a river in the southwest of Saint Vincent. It rises on the western slopes of Grand Bonhomme, flowing west to reach the Caribbean Sea close to the town of Layou.
Wallilabou River
The Wallilabou River is a river in the northwest of Saint Vincent. It rises in the Grand Bonhomme Mountains in the centre of the island and flows Northwest to reach the Caribbean Sea North of Barroulie. The Wallilabou Falls-a tourist attraction-is located on this river, a short walk Northeast along the Leeward Highway. Several of the scenes from the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl were filmed close to the mouth of the river.

Capture of Saint Vincent
The French Capture of Saint Vincent took place on 16–18 June 1779 during the American War of Independence. A French force commanded by Charles Marie, Chevalier de Trolong du Rumain, landed on the West Indies isle of Saint Vincent, and quickly took over much of the British-controlled part of the island, assisted by the local Black Caribs who held the northern part of the island.
