Khanate of Kazan
The Khanate of Kazan was a medieval Tatar state which occupied the territory of former Volga Bulgaria between 1438 and 1552. Its khans were the patrilineal descendants of Tugh Temür, the thirteenth son of Jochi and grandson of Genghis Khan. The khanate covered contemporary Tatarstan, Mari El, Chuvashia, Mordovia, parts of Udmurtia and Bashkortostan; its capital was the city of Kazan.
Kazan (Volga region) Federal University
Kazan (Volga region) Federal University is located in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. It was established in 2010 on the basis of the former Kazan State University, originally founded in 1804 as Kazan Imperial University. Kazan University is the second oldest of the current Russian universities. The famous mathematician Nikolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky was its rector from 1827 until 1846. In 1925, the university was renamed in honour of its most famous alumnus, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin).
Söyembikä Tower
Söyembikä Tower, also called the Khan's Mosque, is probably the most familiar landmark and architectural symbol of Kazan. Once the highest structure of that city's kremlin, it used to be one of the so-called leaning towers. By the early 20th century, its inclination was estimated at 194 cm . Diverse stabilization methods were used to straighten the tower in the 1930s and 1990s. The tower's construction date is enshrouded in mystery.
Bauman Street, Kazan
Baumana Street is a pedestrian street in the heart of Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is named after Nikolay Bauman, a Russian revolutionary, and is located in the central part of the city. The street starts at the foot of the Kremlin and reaches Tukay Square, the central square in the city. Baumana Street is paved with multicoloured bricks; some benches and two lines of lanterns are set there. There are also planted lindens on the street.
Pushkin Street, Kazan
Pushkina Street is the main street of Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. The street runs from the Qaban lake to the south-west, to Kazanka River in the north. The street is one of the busiest in Kazan and is a major shopping area. The street is named after the famous Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. The street's name is one of the oldest and dates back to 19th century.
Basket-Hall Arena
Basket-Hall Arena is a basketball specialized indoor arena in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Opened in August 2003. Construction cost $14 mln. It is primarily used for basketball and is the home arena of the UNICS Kazan. It holds 7,500 people in the main arena and 1,500 in the small one. It is also used for volleyball and show concert for all willing organisations. In 2011 it has also hosted 2011 European Weightlifting Championships. Basket-Hall is a venue of the 2013 Summer Universiade.

Kazan-2 was an airport for local air lines in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia since 1979 till ends of 1980s. It had passenger's Antonov An-2 and L-410 small airplanes and few helicopters till pulling down. An old airfield for Kazan's major airport (that situated in a territory out of city since 1979) was founded probably around the World War II era.
Borisoglebskoye airfield
Borisoglebskoye airfield is an experimental aviation airfield owned by Kazan Aircraft Production Association. Located in the northeastern part of the city of Kazan, in the immediate vicinity of the borough Borisoglebskoe, it is designed for experimental design, experimental work, and testing aircraft products. Since the late 1980s at the airport naddanom conducted test flights of Russian strategic bombers Tupolev Tu-160 (Blackjack), as well as passenger airliners mid-range Tupolev Tu-214.
Battle of Kazan (1774)
The Battle of Kazan (1774) was a major battle during the Pugachev Rebellion. It took place on 12–15 July 1774 in Kazan, Russia, and the surrounding area. The first stage began in the morning of 12 July, when rebels under Yemelyan Pugachev defeated government troops and besieged them in the Kazan Kremlin. During the battle some government forces defected to the rebels' side.
The Thousandth Anniversary of Islam Mosque
The Thousandth Anniversary of Islam Mosque or The Anniversary Mosque was built in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia to commemorate the thousandth anniversary of the Islamization of the Volga Bulgars in 922. The alternative name of the mosque, and the most commonly used name, is The Mosque Across the Qaban, because most of Kazan's mosques are situated on the other side of the Qaban, where the Tatar community was traditionally located before the October Revolution.
Millennium Bridge (Kazan)
The Millennium Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that spans Kazanka River, in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Its name originates from Kazan's thousand anniversary, widely celebrated in 2005 and the shape of its M-like pylon. The construction of the bridge began in 2004, the first part was ready in 2005 and the second part in 2007. The building cost was approximately 94 million euros. The bridge is 831 m long. The main part of this bridge is the 45-m pylon which looks like the letter M.

Ploshchad Tukaya (Kazan Metro)
Ploshchad Gabdully Tukaya (Russian: Площадь Габдуллы Тукая) or Ğabdulla Tuqay Mäydanı (Tatar: Габдулла Тукай Mәйданы) is a station of the Kazan Metro. Opened as part of the first stage of the system on 27 August 2005, it is located in very center of the city, and is named after the square which carries the name of the famous Tatar poet Ğabdulla Tuqay. The station is a standard sub-surface pillar bi-span arrangement, with 12 square concrete pillars running along the central axis of the platform.
Sukonnaya Sloboda (Kazan Metro)
Sukonnaya Sloboda or Sukno (Postaw) Bistäse is a station on the Kazan Metro. Opened as part of the first stage of the system on 27 August 2005, the station is built to a typical pillar bi-span sub-surface design, with two parallel rows of 14 concrete pillars. Ametyevo (Kazan Metro)
Ametyevo or Ämät is a station of the Kazan Metro. Opened as part of the first stage of the system on 27 August 2005 it is the only station that is not underground. The path of the metro's first stage involved coming over a valley which divides two of Kazan's southeastern housing massifs: Ametyevo and Daurskoye-Tankodrom. The valley itself is now occupied by the Daurskaya street. Due to the relative ease at building a station on a flyover over the valley, the resulting project was adopted.
Gorki (Kazan Metro)
Gorki is a station of the Kazan Metro. Opened as part of the first stage on 27 August 2005 it was (until December 2008) the southeastern terminus of the system. Located in the southeastern Gorki-1 microraion, the station presents a typical single-vault subsurface design. Developed by architects A. Mustafin, R. Khisamov and T. Mukhametzyonov, the station's theme is a two-tone high-tech industrial design that blends with the surrounding Soviet-time Panel buildings.
Kazan State Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev
Kazan State Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev was established in 1932. The history of the university is closely related to the progress of Russian aeronautics. Until the recent time, it was well known as Kazan Aviation Institute (Казанский авиационный институт). In 1973, the Institute was named after Andrei Nikolayevich Tupolev, the prominent aircraft designer. In 1992, it got the status of the State Technical University.

The State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan (Tatar: Tatarstan Respublikasınıñ Däülät Şurası, Russian: Государственный Совет Республики Татарстан) is the unicameral legislature of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan. It has hundred seats. Fifty are for the representatives of the political parties, while the other fifty are from the republic's localities. The members are elected for five years. The presiding officer is the Chairman of the State Council.

The Galiaskar Kamal Tatar Academic Theatre (Russian: Татарский Академический Театр имени Галиаскара Камала, Tatar: Галиәсгар Камал исемендәге татар дәүләт академия театры) is the leading Tatar theater in Kazan, Russia. Named after the playwright Galiaskar Kamal, it was founded on December 22, 1906. The first known Tatar theatrical efforts were during the 19th century when Tatar amateur theater groups emerged in some cities and towns of Russia with sizable Tatar populations.

Constructing were operated merchant Ivan Afanasievich Mikhlyaev the head imperial factories in Kazan.

New Rubin Kazan Stadium
Kazan Arena is name of a new stadium in Kazan, Russia that is currently under construction. Once completed in 2013 it will host football matches, especially the Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan's home games. It will also host the 2013 Summer Universiade football competition as well as during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It's capacity will be around 45,000. It will replace Central Stadium as Kazan's main football stadium.
