Tupolev Tu-144
The Tupolev Tu-144 was a supersonic transport aircraft (SST) and remains one of only two SSTs to enter commercial service, the other being Concorde. The design, publicly unveiled in January 1962, was constructed under the direction of the Soviet Tupolev design bureau, headed by Alexei Tupolev. The prototype first flew on 31 December 1968 near Moscow, two months before the first flight of Concorde.
RWM
RWM is the callsign of a high frequency (shortwave) standard frequency and time signal radio station in Moscow, Russia. RWM transmits on 4996 kHz with 5 kW and on 9996 and 14996 kHz with 8 kW. The frequencies are very close to those of WWV, and WWVH. Because of this, RWM is very difficult to receive in North America with simple receivers of low selectivity, due to interference from these said stations. The mode of transmission is N0N and A1A (CW).

TsAGI is a transliteration of the Russian abbreviation for Центра́льный аэрогидродинами́ческий институ́т (ЦАГИ) or "Tsentralniy Aerogidrodinamicheskiy Institut", the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. It was founded in Moscow by the pioneer of Russian aviation, Nikolai Yegorovich Zhukovsky on December 1, 1918.

Monino is an urban locality in Shchyolkovsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 38 kilometers east of Moscow. Population: 22,821; 20,017; 18,582. The Central Air Force Museum in Monino is one of the world's largest aviation museums, and the largest for Russian aircraft. 173 aircraft and 127 aircraft engines are on display, and the museum also features collections of weapons, instruments, uniforms, artwork, and other air-related items.
Bykovo Airport
Bykovo Airport was a small regional airport serving Moscow, Russia. It is located about 35km southeast of the city along the Ryazan highway and railway close to the town of Zhukovsky. It has one 7,250ft (2,210m) runway. It served mainly short-haul domestic flights due to its short runway. No regular flights originate from there. Bykovo Airport first opened in 1933. The airport first had a grass-surfaced runway. During World War II it was rebuilt (1000x80 m; brick-covered).

MAKS (air show)
MAKS (Russian: МАКС, Russian: Международный авиационно-космический салон, transliterated as Mezhdunarodnyj aviatsionno-kosmicheskij salon, "International Aviation and Space Show") is an International Air Show held near Moscow, Russia on Zhukovskiy LII air field. The first show, Mosaeroshow-92, was held in 1992. Since 1993, it was renamed to its current name and is held on odd years (MAKS-1993, MAKS-1995, MAKS-1997, MAKS-1999, MAKS-2001, MAKS-2003, MAKS-2005, MAKS-2007, MAKS-2009, MAKS-2011).

Central Air Force Museum
The Central Air Force Museum in Monino at the site of Monino Airfield 40km east of Moscow, Russia, is one of the world's largest aviation museums, and the largest for Russian aircraft. 173 aircraft and 127 aircraft engines are on display, and the museum also features collections of weapons, instruments, uniforms, other Cold War-era US spy equipment, artwork, and other air-related items. A library containing books, films, and photos is also accessible to visitors. Tours are given by ex-pilots.

Elektrougli is a town in Noginsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 36 kilometers east of Moscow and 18 kilometers southeast of Noginsk, on the Moscow–Nizhny Novgorod railroad. Population: 20,136; 16,717; 18,645. Urban-type settlement status was granted to it in 1935. Town status was granted in 1956.
Monino Airfield
Monino Airfield is a former air base in Moscow Oblast, Russia located 36 km east of Moscow. It is used for the Central Air Force Museum. It had a military technical school with an operations ramp which during the 1990s had an Ilyushin Il-76 freighter jet and two bombers. This airfield appears to be abandoned with unusable runways.

Ramenskoye Airport
Ramenskoye Airport, also known as Ramenskoye Airfield or Zhukovsky Airfield, is an airport in Moscow Oblast, Russia located 40 km southeast of Moscow and near the town of Ramenskoye. It serves as a major aircraft testing facility since the Cold War years with the majority of the major Russian OKBs having facilities on the airfield. It is also now used by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and cargo transportation. This airfield was also used as a test site for the Soviet Buran Spacecraft.
Gromov Flight Research Institute
M. M. Gromov Flight Research Institute or LII for short is an important Russian aircraft test base, scientific research center located in Zhukovsky, 40 km south-east of Moscow. It has one of the longest runways in Europe at 5,403 m. LII's concrete surfacing covers the area of 2.5 million square meters. LII was used as the backup landing site for the Shuttle Buran test program and also as a test base for a Buran's aerodynamic prototypes.

Meteor Stadium (Zhukovsky)
Meteor Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Zhukovsky, Russia. It is currently used mostly for football matches, on club level by FC Saturn-2 Moscow Oblast of the Russian Second Division. It is also used for athletics competitions, including the Znamensky Memorial. The stadium has a capacity of 7,500 spectators.
