Social Democratic Party (Romania)
The Social Democratic Party (Romanian: Partidul Social Democrat, PSD) is the major social-democratic political party in Romania. The largest party in Parliament with 63 seats in the Senate and 158 seats in the Chamber of Deputies, it also has the largest number of mayors, local and county councilors and county presidents thus being the biggest and most influential political force in the country. PSD was formed in 1992, after the post-communist National Salvation Front broke apart.

Bucharest University of Economic Studies
The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Academia de Studii Economice Bucureşti, or ASE, in Romanian) is the oldest university of economics and business studies in Romania. It was founded in April 6, 1913 in Bucharest, by the royal decree of Carol I of Romania, under the name Academy of High Commercial and Industrial Studies. Since 1967 it is known as the Academy of Economic Studies and has become one of the largest higher education institutes in both Romania and South-Eastern Europe.

Aviatorilor (Aviators in English) is a metro station in Bucharest. It is located at the end of Aviatorilor Boulevard, under Charles de Gaulle Square. It provides easy access to Herăstrău Park and the headquarters of the national television network, TVR.
Piața Victoriei metro station
Piaţa Victoriei is a metro station in Piaţa Victoriei, central Bucharest. It is near the Victoria Palace, the headquarters of the Romanian government. This station actually consists of two stations (Piaţa Victoriei 1 - line 2 -, above, and Piaţa Victoriei 2 - line 1 -, below) and, along with Piaţa Unirii is one of the busiest metro stations in Bucharest. It was the setting for many parts of the documentary Children Underground.
Zambaccian Museum
The Zambaccian Museum in Bucharest, Romania is a museum in the former home of Krikor Zambaccian (1889 –1962), a businessman and art collector. The museum was founded in 1947, closed by the Ceauşescu regime in 1977, and re-opened in 1992. It is now a branch of The National Museum of Art of Romania. Its collection includes works by Romanian artists—including a masterful portrait of Zambaccian himself by Corneliu Baba—and works by several French impressionists.
Charles de Gaulle Square
Charles de Gaulle Square (Romanian: Piaţa Charles de Gaulle) is a square in northern Bucharest, Romania. It lies at the intersection of Aviatorilor, Constantin Prezan and Primăverii Boulevards, and Calea Dorobanților. In the centre of the square stands Paul Neagu's Crucea Mileniului (Millennium Cross), built in the 1990s. In September 2006, on the occasion of the Francophonie Summit held in Bucharest, a statue of Charles de Gaulle was unveiled.

Piața Romană
Piața Romană is a major traffic intersection in Sector 1, central Bucharest. Two major boulevards intersect in Piața Romană: Lascăr Catargiu Boulevard (which runs northwest towards Piaţa Victoriei) and Magheru Boulevard (which runs south by southeast towards University Square). The two roads also coincide geographically with the Bucharest Metro Line M2. The square is served by the Piața Romană metro station, on Magheru Boulevard. Dacia Boulevard runs roughly east-west through the square.

Geology Museum (Romania)
The National Geology Museum is hosted by the building built in 1906 for the Geological Institute of Romania. The museum hosts a collection of 80,000 samples of rocks, fossils, and minerals from Romania.
Dorobanți
Dorobanți is a neighborhood in Sector 1, Bucharest. The neighborhood is dominated by red brick buildings and glass buildings. Main intersections/squares are Perla, Dorobanți Square, Lahovari, Charles de Gaulle and Quito Square. Main streets are Calea Dorobanților, Iancu de Hunedoara Avenue, Lascăr Catargiu Boulevard and a small part of Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard. The district features a large number of embassy buildings, and local cafes are regarded as meeting places of Bucharest's nouveau riche.
Bordei Park
Bordei Park is a park in northern Bucharest. The terrain where the Bordei Park stands (which included the Bordei Lake and amounted to 0.13 km²) was bought by the Bucharest Municipality from the Marmorosch Blank Bank in 1932 for a price of 16 million lei ($110,000 at the time). The park was officially opened in 1938 by King Carol II of Romania.

The museum is located in the house designed by the artists with the help of architect Alexandru Clavel and constructed in 1912-1913. The artists donated their collection to the government which opened the museum in 1951.

2012 Bucharest hair salon shooting
On March 5, 2012 two people were killed and six were injured after a shooting attack in a hair salon in Bucharest, Romania. The attacker, 51-year old Gheorghe Vlădan entered the salon with a firearm. As a result of the attack, two people died and six were severely injured, totaling eight victims.
