Măgurele
Măgurele is a town situated in the southwestern part of Ilfov County, Romania. Its population is 9,200. Four villages are administered by the town: Alunişu, Dumitrana, Pruni and Vârteju. The town hosts a nuclear research lab, the Institute of Atomic Physics (Romanian: Institutul de Fizicǎ Atomicǎ) and its National Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering. Between 1957 and 1998, it had a Soviet VVRS research reactor, now closed down.

Rahova
Rahova is a neighbourhood of southwest Bucharest, Romania, situated in Sector 5, west of Dâmboviţa River. It is named after the Bulgarian town Rahovo, site of a battle in the Romanian War of Independence. The neighborhood stretches from between Antiaeriană and Drumul Sării Avenues to Panduri Square (in the west), Panduri and 13 Septembrie Streets in the north, George Cosbuc Avenue, Viilor and Sălaj Streets in the east and Bucharest City Limits in the South.
TAROM Flight 371
TAROM Flight 371 was an Airbus A310 that crashed near Baloteşti in Romania on 31 March 1995. It was a flight from Bucharest's main Otopeni airport to Brussels. The flight crashed shortly after it took off. Two main reasons are indicated: first the throttle of the starboard engine jammed, remaining in takeoff thrust, while the other engine reduced slowly to idle, creating an asymmetrical thrust condition that ultimately caused the aircraft to roll over and crash.

Carol Park
Carol Park is a public park in Bucharest, Romania, named after King Carol I of Romania. A French garden located in the southern-central area of Bucharest, partly on Filaret hill, originally capable of hosting various exhibitions, it suffered considerable modifications during the communist regime, including a name change to Parcul Libertății (Liberty Park). The park has officially been listed as a historical monument since 2004.
Dimitrie Leonida Technical Museum
The Romanian Technical Museum was founded in 1909 by Dimitrie Leonida, inspired by Munchen technical museum, visited during his studies in Charlottenburg Politechnic institute. In 1908, with the help of the first promotions of mechanics and electricians from his school, the first in Romania, Leonida has collected first pieces for the museum. What was different in Leonida museum was the educational orientation of the museum and also the interactivity.

Giurgiului
Giurgiului is a neighborhood in the southern part of the Romanian capital Bucharest, near Berceni and Ferentari. Like Berceni, Giurgiului has plenty of 10-storey blocks of flats that were under Communist rule in the early 1970s. The estimated population is between 30,000 and 40,000. Before the Communists started their massive building programme, Giurgiului was a farming village. After 1948 the village was added to the city area.
