Vitan is a neighborhood in southeastern Bucharest, Romania, along the Dâmboviţa River, located between Titan, Dristor, Centrul Civic, Olteniței and Berceni. Its name comes from the Romanian family name "Vitan", presumably a Transylvanian name. Though it is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Bucharest, it was for a long time notorious for its poverty. Golescu Bridge, Satu Mare
The Golescu Bridge crosses the lower Someş River to the western part of Satu Mare city, linking the residential districts of Horea and Centru Nou. It is named after Nicolae Golescu, a Wallachian Romanian politician who served as the Prime Minister of Romania in 1860 and May–November 1868. The Golescu Bridge is an arch road bridge 520 metres long, 20 metres wide, and 20 metres high.
