Qatar Open (tennis)
The Qatar Open, currently known as the Qatar ExxonMobil Open for sponsorship reasons, is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is currently part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour. It is held annually in January at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar, since 1993.
Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium
Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium (also known as al-Sadd Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Doha, Qatar. It is currently used mostly for football matches and it also has facilities for athletics. The football team Al-Sadd plays there. The stadium, originally built in 1974, was rebuilt in 2004 for the Gulf Cup and currently has a capacity of 15,000 people. The stadium has a unique atmosphere, and being close to the city centre it attracts fans.
Qatar SC Stadium
Qatar SC Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Doha, Qatar. It is currently used mostly for football matches and home of the football team Qatar Sports Club. The stadium holds 20,000 people. In 2010 it hosted the Qatar Athletic Super Grand Prix, the first meeting of the 2010 Diamond League. Some of the matches from the 2011 AFC Asian Cup were held in this stadium.

Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex
The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex is a tennis complex in Doha, Qatar. The center is owned and operated by the Qatar Tennis Federation. It is the home venue of the ATP World Tour's Qatar ExxonMobil Open and WTA event Qatar Total Open. It formerly hosted the year-ending WTA Tour Championships in 2008-2010. It also hosted the tennis and squash competitions at the 2006 Asian Games. The complex opened on December 16, 1992, and the first Qatar Open was held in January 1993.

The district has mostly developed in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a result of its proximity to Doha's new business district and its relative distance from the more congested centre of the city.
Souq Waqif
Souq Waqif is an important souq in Doha, in the state of Qatar. Literally translated to "the standing market," this shopping destination is renowned for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is also home to dozens of restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world, as well as Shisha lounges. Although this market dates back at least a hundred years, it has been recently restored back to its original glory.
Al Sadd (Qatar)
Al Sadd is a neighborhood of Doha, the capital city and the state of Qatar. The football team, Al-Sadd, and the Al-Sadd Sports Complex, is located here. The neighborhood is a home for hundreds of families and residences. Several malls are also found here such as the Centrepoint Mall and Lulu Centre. The famous Royal Plaza is also found in this vast neighborhood.
Al Fardan Residences
Al Fardan Residences, also known as the Barjeel Tower and the Wind Tower, is a 64 storey residential skyscraper in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. At 254 metres (830 feet), it is the tallest completed building in Doha. Each of the storeys is 4.1 metres (13.5 feet), each built with 94 "SKE 50 automatic climbers", in a 3 to 4-day cycle. Construction began in 2006 and was completed in 2009.
Al-Markhiya Stadium
Al-Markhiya Stadium is a football stadium in Doha, Qatar. The football team Al-Markhiya SC play there. The stadium holds a small capacity of 40 people.
Qatar Museums Authority
The Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) is the peak body of museums in Qatar. The QMA was founded in late 2005 to manage the resources of all museums in the State of Qatar, to develop cultural institutions such as museums and galleries, and to provide an effective system for collecting, protecting, preserving and interpreting historic sites, monuments and artifacts. The QMA was the bid leader for Qatar's successful candidature to join the UNESCO heritage panel in 2011.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Qatar)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the ministry responsible for handling Qatar's external relations and diplomatic efforts, including the maintenance of its diplomatic missions across the globe. The ministry's current director is Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani, who has been in Qatari national politics since 1982. Sheikh al-Thani also acts as the nation's Prime Minister.
Richard Serra '7'
The ‘7’ sculpture is an 80-foot high sculpture built by American artist and sculptor Richard Serra and located in the Museum of Islamic Art Park, in Doha, Qatar. Unveiled in December 2011, it is the tallest public art piece in Qatar and the tallest Richard Serra has ever conceived. It is also his first sculpture to be showcased in the Middle East.
